What percentage of fans do you think are serious ones who think this way vs. the rest who enjoy the Disney baseball theme park experience?

Don’t forget it was a garbage Cub starting pitcher today also.

Cubs now 22-10 at home. First comeback from a 5-1 Cardinal lead in Wrigley Field since 2003.

That was the most pitches before a HR for a Cub hitter since they started tracking that stat.

Every team has their hits and misses, it all averages out pretty much.

Unreal. In fairness to the Cardinals, if anyone claims they know the future production of a given player they probably lie about other things too.

Maybe the Cards can sign Lance Lynn when he’s a free agent next year. Seems to be doing pretty well, 7-1, 1.23 ERA, good enough to crack the Cardinal rotation, lol.

Wisdom now has more HRs than Goldschmidt, I see, he of the $130M contract.

So must MLB if he was Player of the Week.

Not uncommon for HR hitters to strike out a lot.

Wisdom is the first player in the modern era to have 8 HRs in his first 36 ABs in the season.

It was a great baserunning play by Baez.

    Cubs now tied for first.

A Cub fan here, we have a weak division, I don’t see the winner taking on the elites and winning.

White Sox are good, I hate to say. Imagine if they had Jimenez healthy this year.

Can’t disagree with any of that, the Cubs are going to have to step up their game.

A Cub fan here, I agree with the previous post, but am not an Epstein or Joe ‘Look at Me’ Maddon fan. He darn near threw away the 2016 Championship with his terrible handling of pitching, with no guarantee when we would have got back to the WS again. Epstein did well inheriting a lot of good young players drafted after the Cubs tanked, hasn’t developed hardly any more and let go of or traded five players who make the All Star Game this year with other teams. Arietta was a fluke. I was sitting on a plane next to a Yankee fan who said Epstein is more of an AL GM, whatever that means. I do think at least the Cubs will be competitive with the Cards (a good new thing for us) if nothing else due to the sheer amount of money they’ll have to spend with the new TV deal. That can cover up a lot of FO stupidity.

Neither of our team’s fans should put up with mediocrity, Cub fans did that for far too long. I don’t believe in being more loyal to a team than they are to their fans.

    That’s all.

A Cub fan weighing in, lots of negativity here, I would be thrilled if my team was playing in the NLCS. The ’27 Yankees wouldn’t have hit Strassburg last night. The playoffs are all about who is hot at the end of the season, that team is the Nats. They way they’re playing I could see them beating the Yankees or Astros. Yes, you have a couple of overpaid non-producers, so does my team and most others. Some good young pitching on your team.

    That’s all.
