May 30, 2026 at 6:54 pm in reply to: St. Louis 2026 Game #56 thread – Saturday, May 30 vs. Chicago Cubs #308560Is anyone else done with Nolan Gorman. Asleep on defense and can’t hit consistently. PCA is an ugly man by the way. He needs to always wear a hat.
May 29, 2026 at 2:17 pm in reply to: St. Louis 2026 Game #55 thread – Friday, May 29 vs. Chicago Cubs #308408Bloom treats the 40 man roster like a stack of silver coins. He hoards them and doesn’t make changes unless he absolutely has to. I think even the Memphis shuttle for the offense wont come until much later in the season. I am hopeful the September call ups will feature Baez and Blaze Jordan. I would also like to see Gastulum for the pen. Until September, I believe this is the lineup and pen we are stuck with, barring major injuries. It stinks, but this is a rebuild, Gotta take our lumps this season unfortunately.
May 28, 2026 at 2:19 pm in reply to: St. Louis 2026 Game #55 thread – Friday, May 29 vs. Chicago Cubs #308363This past series with MIL shows me that our above .500 record is a mirage. I did myself a disservice by getting happy on the ride of winning, But it wasn’t sustainable and the reality is hitting hard how bare the cupboard was left by the incompetent Mozeliak. Oh well…I don’t expect to win the series against the slumping Cubs, I hope we can scratch out a win somehow this weekend,
May 26, 2026 at 2:18 pm in reply to: St. Louis 2026 new Game #53 thread – Tuesday, May 26 at Milwaukee Brewers #308248Hopefully we can score at least 2 to 3 runs off of Harrison. Doubt it. Our offense is streaky at a .239 team batting average going into today’s game. go Cards
May 23, 2026 at 9:43 pm in reply to: St. Louis 2026 Game #51 thread – Saturday, May 23 at Reds (DH Game 2) #308143Great slide under the tag. Ugh.

May 23, 2026 at 9:25 pm in reply to: St. Louis 2026 Game #51 thread – Saturday, May 23 at Reds (DH Game 2) #308132We’ll have to disagree, a bloop single could have happened after Pozos AB. Spilt milk now.

May 15, 2026 at 2:21 pm in reply to: St. Louis 2026 Game #45 thread – Saturday, May 16 vs. Kansas City Royals #307483I prefer night games but its whatever. I expect the Cardinals to win this series, although it wont be easy. KC should have a better record. Salvador Perez, Bobby Witt Jr, Pasquatino and Carter Jansen are decent players. Their starters are also not half bad. Don’t understand why they are mediocre. Good for the cards to be back in the Lou,
May 14, 2026 at 2:21 pm in reply to: St. Louis 2026 Game #42 thread – Wednesday, May 13 at Athletics #307414surprised we managed double digit hits with a team batting average in the .230s. RISP is key. if you have a team batting average below .250, mathematically its hard to generate runs unless you are hitting home runs. its not a reliable offense. cardinals need players who hit for average. I don’t expect them to win Thursday either against the A’s, hopefully they will prove me wrong. Go Cards.
May 13, 2026 at 2:22 pm in reply to: St. Louis 2026 Game #42 thread – Wednesday, May 13 at Athletics #307277JT Ginn is on fire his last 5 games, only losing one game. He is a weak contact ground ball pitcher who can walk batters if the cards are patient. We’ll see how it goes. I think the Wilson injury for the A’s helps stunt their slugging train. hopeful we can take care of business and take the series tonight.
May 11, 2026 at 2:22 pm in reply to: St. Louis 2026 Game #40 thread – Sunday, May 10 at San Diego Padres #307146I also got humbled on “the stretch” run of games. I said the cards would go 2-15, they had a winning record I believe in that span of games. that said, I expect them to get shoved off the field against the sluggers of the A’s. are bullpen is going to get rocked. Cards cant hit either, too streaky,
May 2, 2026 at 12:51 am in reply to: St. Louis 2026 Game #33 thread – Saturday, May 2 vs. Los Angeles Dodgers #306404definitely can get some runs on Sasaki. hopefully McGreevy can go 6 IP and give up less than 3 runs with 0 to 1 walk allowed.
May 2, 2026 at 12:44 am in reply to: St. Louis 2026 Game #32 thread – Friday, May 1 vs. Los Angeles Dodgers #306402well…i am stuffed from eating a healthy dose of crow. flowers for Jordan Walker, Nolan Gorman and Liberatore. Soriano, Graceffo, and Svanson all did well in the pen. This team continues to astound me.
May 1, 2026 at 2:21 pm in reply to: St. Louis 2026 Game #32 thread – Friday, May 1 vs. Los Angeles Dodgers #306349I sure as heck didn’t see a sweep coming against the Pirates. I am expecting the worst against Palm Tree Thanos (LAD). They are just such a stacked team; lets not kid ourselves. We didn’t have the horses to beat SEA. Maybe the Pirates aren’t as good as some people thought (me included). The bullpen is butt cheeks, Gorman, Scott II and Walker (I still doubt him) are not people to be counted on in the lineup. Liberatore is also putrid and is not going to be that ace that we need. The only thing going for us is that the LAD starting pitcher is mid.
I was absolutely disgusted when Velasquez didn’t make the 26 man. Saggese had options, he did nothing in the WBC or the exhibition game in Springfield. I am sure Velasquez’s confidence is shot. Bloom messed this up.
Velasquez is really shining! I have him IN as of 3/12. Church out. The OF/IF combo is either Fermin or Saggese. 3 positions 4 players vying for it.
We’ll see. Not thrilled about it. Just have to trust in Bloom.
So it’s looking like so far:
Liberatore
McGreevy
May
Fitts
LeahyPallante could be trade bait or to the pen.
November 6, 2025 at 11:03 pm in reply to: Trade Ideas/Acquisition Ideas/Non-Cards Rumors – 2024-2026 #295499@Game Card,
The Cardinals are in rebuild mode. If they indeed find a suitor for Sonny Gray, they only have McGreevey, Pallante, and Liberatore. The cupboard is bare. It’s going to take at least 3 years, maybe even 4 years for this team to be competitive. Bloom has his work cut out for him.
October 4, 2025 at 5:02 pm in reply to: Trade Ideas/Acquisition Ideas/Non-Cards Rumors – 2024-2026 #293667Taj Bradley or Drew Rasmussen would be okay. Rays would want more than one of our catchers if we wanted Rasmussen. I think the Cards should get a more sure thing in Rasmussen. Pitching is such a glaring need.
That’s disappointing. Let’s hope Blaze gets back in form with another full season in the minors. It’s just as well, 2028 is when any openings will come available with the big league club.
