    Happy Mothers Day to all!

Din-din today will be a ribeye steak in the air fryer, some jumboo crinkle cut french fries, an ice cold slushy Mt. Dew, and a big bowl of Turkey Hill Vanilla Bean ice cream for dessert. Consumption begins around first pitch of the Astros and the red hot Reds game..:)

Then afterwards a 7×50 Palma Real Presidente cigar whilst me and Whitey Herdog sit on the couch for the rest of the Astros/Reds and then tune in for the Cards/Padres.

Yes, Happy Mom’s Day to all mom’s and their significant others. These days always encourage me to think back and be grateful for the wonderful mom (and dad) I had.

Well can’t win ‘em all. Even the mighty Chicago Nationals lost last night. But we have at least a split in the bag here, and that was all I asked for. But now I am greedy and want 3 of 4.

Oh, no idea on din-din. We have a big brunch going on and my guess is din-din today will be sort of an after thought.

    Jedi34,
She goes to the Vet on Tuesday. He will do a CBC and check her red blood cell count. It was very low last time. Hopefully she’s regenerated some red blood cells and he can give me some good news. At least I hope there is no bad news. She’s 11 years old and she seems normal to me.

Fingers are crossed and praying hard.

Leahy escapes the 1st inning unscathed but labors to do so with 29 pitches. He won’t work 4 innings if he continues with that sort of pace.

I see Saggese is gifted another start.

Any Gorman haters may not want to hear this, but his third base defense had been played at an elite level in 2026, ranking third amongst all third basemen in oaa. Makes it a little easier waiting for his homeruns.

Gorman is world’s better at the hot corner. He was almost unplayable there and at the dish most of 2025.

It was an awful thing to watch. But his defense has improved to a level that if he can just show some incremental improvement in his ops he can hold his place there.

I am surprised they didn’t walk Machado with 1B open, but it worked out.

IDK how Leahy came up with that but Im glad he did. Big out on Machado. To the 6th we go.

Indeed but the bat has been the issue. Like I’ve said if he could just OPS .750 you are giddy especially with the defense.

It’s fun to watch Walker when he’s confident and on his timing. Just thrilled for that young man.

Don’t like Soriano in this situation.

Not exactly the most exciting offensive performance by either squad. 5 total hits. Let’s keep it that way and sneak out to Sacramento.

Castellanos ties it. O’Brien just got worn down there.
