I would guess bettors lost a lot of money on this game. I watch the Cubs broadcast because they play the Nat’l anthem and “Take me Out” at the stretch. They mentioned that Cards were 13-6 against the Cubs last season..
They were paying Stan Musial 12K. Which was considered big money. Sure, you could buy a new Cadillac Fleetwood for $7500. But still…
You can’t relax until they got a five run lead.
Arrenado is making 35M? That’s a lot of popcorn.
Jack F’s ERA just shot up.
Gorman just won that game. He’s a stout lad.
After being down 0-7 the Cubs are now uo 14-9 in the 8th. That shows heart. The Cards now have to win this game now tied up in the 7th. or be shown up by the Cubs, their chief rival in the Midwest…( as we all know)
These new extra large plastic bases are a definite advantage for the base-runner on first. They used to be canvas for a hundred years…
It’s hard to be a baseball fan when every year it’s mostly a whole new team. What are you supposed to be loyal to? The logo?. The Park? The owner-managers?
That’s cruel to leave Mikolas in there to cook.
The guy I most miss off the Cards is Goldie-Locks. He went to the Yanks. The fastest center-fielder and most exciting since Curtis Flood. Now he’s a star in NY, I guess, probably making more money, and has to beat women off with a stick…. What a life eh?
An aside in Chi-town, after getting down 0-7 the Cubs have come back 9-7 in the 3rd. How many times does that happen in a year?
It’s fairly apparent the Cardinals upper mgmt. , owners have gone woke signaling a general decline. This is showing in team morale and will to win.
The Cardinals being associated vaguely with Bud-Lite have taken a hit to their zeit-geist. They’re a major sponsor. People are fed up with this stuff.
It’s Coors vs Bud-Lite.
