These new extra large plastic bases are a definite advantage for the base-runner on first. They used to be canvas for a hundred years…

Noise in the 7th. Goldy with a bases load walk. Arenado could make it interesting.

And a bases clearing double for Arenado. Game tied, 6-6.

    Awesome. We so needed that.

Good job by NA to tie it up. Too bad Contreras couldn’t keep it going. I’m not sure why a .225 hitter is right behind Arenado. Let him heat up a little, then move him into the heart of the order.

Cabrera looks promising. If he has the BB thing under control it will be big.

Those 2 out RBI base hits have been scant. Nice to see Nado push 3 across to tie it, but sure could used another 2 out RBI from Contreras.

After being down 0-7 the Cubs are now uo 14-9 in the 8th. That shows heart. The Cards now have to win this game now tied up in the 7th. or be shown up by the Cubs, their chief rival in the Midwest…( as we all know)

O’Neill is having big problems at the plate. He’s letting the center cut ones go by, getting behind, and swinging at unhittable pitches.

I tuned in late and missed the COL half of the 5th. The box tells me they beat up Mikolas pretty good with a sack of taters. SP’ers can’t seem to keep it in play this season.

What is Contreras’ problem? For some reason, I seem to miss most of his plate appearances, but know he is struggling.

Donovan evidently wants to win the utility gold glove award again.

When he connects it leaves in a hurry.

Please don’t trade Gorman. Dude is going to have a monster year.

Okay Gorman, take a victory lap.

It’s simple now. All we need is some shut down pitching to win it.

Gorman just won that game. He’s a stout lad.

Amen. He has been so good in the early going. I’m glad he’s still with us.

Small ball? We got new computers?

And it worked, Goldy puts the Cards up two.

Now that’s the game of baseball. The sac-bunt is highly underrated these days.

A sac bunt and an rbi single?? Is it 1982?

I wonder how many guys will have a sac and HR in the same game this season?
