Whodda thunk Albert would be third in home runs on our club.
September 16, 2022 at 9:30 pm #200975I’m thinking Alberta gonna make it past the record. It’s gonna be close.
September 16, 2022 at 9:45 pm #200978Better be 2 runs ahead before you put JoJo in thats the 2nd time this week hes given up a homer in his inning.
September 16, 2022 at 9:46 pm #200979The Reds, somehow ain’t going with the program..
September 16, 2022 at 9:49 pm #200981With Romero pitching I just checked the numbers for Edmundo Sosa. A whopping 157 OPS+ as a Phillie. Plus he is terrific on defense. Small sample, but how in the world did the Cardinals not go with him at short this year after he took over the job last year. Never understood that.

jj-cf-stlParticipantIf the postseason were next week I couldn’t justify having Jack on the roster.
September 16, 2022 at 9:57 pm #200983how in the world did the Cardinals not go with him (Sosa) at short this year
A man barely alive. Gentlemen, we can rebuild him. We have the technology. We have the capability to build the world’s first bionic man. Paul DeJong will be that man. Better than he was before. Better, stronger, faster.

I could..I think he’s fine as a relief arm, but I wouldn’t trust him to start a game at this point. In relief, you can pull him at the first sign of trouble.
September 16, 2022 at 9:59 pm #200985Friggin no outs… runner on first… shift to the right and Eddie is still swinging away.
FRIGGIN BUNT!!!!!
My gosh!!!!
September 16, 2022 at 10:00 pm #200986Thought Goldy would jump on that 2-0. That was a hitters pitch.
September 16, 2022 at 10:00 pm #200987
stlcard25ParticipantThis Gibaut fellow has thrown 16 pitches this inning, and only two in the zone. The Cards are bailing him out by swinging at junk.
September 16, 2022 at 10:02 pm #200988Well, the good thing is Jack might get a couple more starts to show his worth. I’m not excited about his progression in these few starts, but still thinking his upside might kick in quickly at any point.
September 16, 2022 at 10:03 pm #200989Goldy with a tying RBI
September 16, 2022 at 10:04 pm #200990
stlcard25ParticipantAttaboy, Goldy! Get a pitch actually in the zone and drive it!
September 16, 2022 at 10:04 pm #200991Goldschmidt doubles in Donovan! 5-5!
C’mon Arenado, earn your money!!!!!
September 16, 2022 at 10:04 pm #200992LOL Euro- I needed a good laugh. To Willies earlier observation- I’m all in for Edman bunting Donovan over. Donovans been getting on base and Edmans 0 fee. In fact Edmans been 0fer alot lately. Time to wake up.Goldy rbi tie again!
September 16, 2022 at 10:08 pm #200993Arenado doubles in Goldy! 6-5 Redbirds!
Yankees and Brewers still 5-5 in the 7th.
September 16, 2022 at 10:08 pm #200994
stlcard25ParticipantBack to back doubles! 6-5!!
September 16, 2022 at 10:08 pm #200995Nado rbi-double-1 run up!
September 16, 2022 at 10:08 pm #200996Man…. I thought Nado had a HR.
It just looked like it. Glad it dropped.
September 16, 2022 at 10:13 pm #200997Albert almost went for his second helping of taters tonight. Did somebody kidnap 1td?
September 16, 2022 at 10:14 pm #200998
jj-cf-stlParticipantAs a reliever? I wouldn’t even consider changing his routine.
“Get ya 20 warm up pitches and be ready Jack.” Doesn’t seem realistic, and probably not in anyone’s best interest, including his.
September 16, 2022 at 10:16 pm #201000Which Gallegos will we see??
September 16, 2022 at 10:18 pm #201001I’m thinking Gio has done well lately in his 8th inning appearances, but I might be off on that. Hope it’s true tonight and it continues the rest of the way.
September 16, 2022 at 10:19 pm #201002I think Jack is going to have a really good career, hopefully with us. He has had this setback, but I am thinking he comes back strong next year and is a solid starter the rest of the decade.
