Woulda been 23 Euro without that Knizer hit by throw run to end the 0-0 extra innings game with Cincy. I think it was.

bc, it’s not been 28, yet. The Cardinals scored in the last inning of the second game on Saturday. They have played 2 complete games without scoring since then. This is only in the 6th inning.

bccran, you’re off a bit. It was 18 coming into tonight’s game. Not sure what the record is, afraid to look.

It has been nasty tonight, starting in the 1st inning.

I just don’t k ow why we continue to allow Paul Dejong to bat! He is the most overmatched major league hitter I have ever seen! Please god, have him gone in 2023!

Cards have two on after Yepez singles. Runners 1st and 2nd, two outs, and DeJong up. DeJong has already struck out twice in aimless fashion. No pinch hitter? Isn’t that like saying you want to extend the scoreless streak? Anyway, DeJong whiffs at 3. Two were out of the strike zone. Mission accomplished.

Here’s how I introduce myself at my support group:

“Hi, I’m BlackHillsCard, and I hate Paul DeJong”

In case you were wondering my support group is for Paul DeJong haters.

I really like your thinking Euro. Somebody on the team must be deciding these things. DeFan is a rightly swinger though and does play defense. Does seem lame to me but he is due…to hit one!

I don’t mind if DeJong swings at high balls out of the zone, but I’d prefer if he could aim at them. Even better, hit one of them.

I’m thinking how bad P. DeJong must feel.

If you can’t take the heat stay out of the kitchen. We’re still playing good defense but it doesn’t score us runs.

Hader with the save. Mikolas was good. Marmol and Cards were pathetic.

Scary bad tonight! This team needs a manager that can fix problems! Let’s see if Marmol is gonna be that guy?

    DeJong is 6 for his last 67 at bats with 29 strikeouts. That’s a 46% K rate.
