What happens in our scrimmages with the lineup full of hitters that can’t hit and pitchers that can’t pitch?
Some day the Cardinals will score another run. It might not be today. And definitely not tomorrow. Maybe not even this week. But someday it will happen. Mark my words.

Yep, hate it when a good guy leaves us too soon. I say that because the only thing I didn’t like about him was his uniform. It’s easy to understand why he was such an icon in the windy city.
BTW, my urologist and assistant were both female, but neither too high up on the scale, so no issues.

Coincidentally, a couple weeks ago I had the same or similar procedure you described to inspect the bladder (mine was a cystoscopy). It’s where the urologist takes a tube, otherwise known as a catheter, and sticks it in and through your…um, never mind.
You can really see the innards of the bladder, lol. Fortunately, mine was not done for suspicion of anything nasty like cancer. It was just to see what might be contributing to a mid 60s guy peeing too many times at night, hehe. I guess practically all of us get this annoying enlarged prostate issue if we live long enough.

I saw where he was declared cancer-free, only to have it return a few months later. I also saw Deion Sanders was said to be “cured” from his bladder cancer after his recent surgery.
On a personal pet peeve note, I cringe when I read that. Positive attitude is great and extremely important when dealing with cancer, but saying things like “cancer-free” and “cured” almost seems like tempting fate. It happens so often, and no doctor alive knows where and when that stuff might be hiding and lying in wait ready to strike again. Don’t wake a mean sleeping sonofabitch. Not that it really matters, it’s just a quirk.
Ha, if they ever make it to game 7 of the world series, just remember the day before that how Brandon Belt sent Wacha and the Cards home for the winter.
Just checked the score. With the rain delays I thought it was going to be a washout and got caught up in other things. They do better when I ignore them. 🙂
Bottom of the 9th was a wimper. Sounds like Atlanta was bad in 1-run games this year prior to this series.

Yea, he was too anxious early in the count and got in a hole, but then did what you like to see with a wild pitcher on the mound.

Yep, bad move by somebody. Sounds like you’re thinking up Charlie Finley’s alley. Need to employ a 7-footer as a late inning homerun-robbing defensive replacement, a la Herb Washington who was Finley’s designated base runner/stealer.

I would rather eat a box of nails than see the Cubs in the WS but if they get a good pitcher or two at the deadline it is likely to happen.
Haha, I get it, I often fear the worst. The year they won it, I KNEW it was going to happen. I just saw they’re getting crushed by the Rodon and the Yanks tonight, which made me feel good.

GO Team GO!! You could have rosters based on ideology. A staunch conservative team, a rad lib team, and just think of the upstart American Party Muskateers. Fan passion at an all time high! Just wait till the billionaires think of that one.
Of all the health tips you hear about (proper nutrition, phys fitness, ample sleep, eliminate stress, etc.), I think reducing your input of news and dwelling on it might be the best advice for some. It’d open the door for some of the other good stuff.
I categorize most of these lineup decisions by Oli as him making the worst choice possible, except for most of the other options he had available. So don’t be too hard on Oli because he was the best option available for Mo to put in the managerial seat, unless you count a host of other options Mo might’ve pursued.
