6:45 p.m.
RHP Miles Mikolas (4-6, 5.26) vs. RHP Michael Soroka (3-6, 5.40)
FanDuel // KMOX // WIJRJuly 10, 2025 at 9:33 am #286903bumping up tonight’s thread…
Either
– the Cardinals will win this home series 2-1 over a team tied for the second-fewest wins in the NL.
Or
– they will drop their second series to a last-place NL team in the last week and a half.July 10, 2025 at 12:39 pm #286908Well with Mikolas pitching I’m guessing it is the latter even though Soroka himself has been quite bad.
July 10, 2025 at 2:01 pm #286911The Cubs are pounding Minnesota this afternoon at Metropolitan Stadium. Peter has jacked two for the Cubs so far today.
Need to win tonight or we will fall 6.5 games behind. On the verge of falling out of the NLC for good.

July 10, 2025 at 4:07 pm #286921It was just announced that Fedde will start on Saturday.
July 10, 2025 at 4:29 pm #286922Well, if nothing else the law of averages almost have to indicate that he’s somewhat due for a decent turn.
July 10, 2025 at 4:56 pm #286923They are giving him the start Saturday in hopes of boosting his trade value since he would have more value as a starter than a reliever. The key word there is hope.
July 10, 2025 at 5:23 pm #286925I would think that if they wanted to boost his trade value, they’d hide him out…Haha!
July 10, 2025 at 5:56 pm #286927Neither starter is anything to get excited about. This one might be a case of who is less bad. If one guy can hold the other club to say 4 runs in 5 or 6 innings, his team will have a shot at winning.
July 10, 2025 at 5:58 pm #286928I can’t imagine any contending team trading for Fedde the way he has pitched.
Should have been traded in the offseason.
July 10, 2025 at 6:00 pm #286929On Fedde, seems like the best option would be to pitch him in relief in low stress situations, and put McGreevy in the rotation. But maybe the roster move to so that is not optimal.
As mentioned, the club obviously hopes he can turn in a decent start or two and then maybe move him for a 30 year old career minor leaguer that bats right handed.
July 10, 2025 at 6:01 pm #286930The Cardinals did, LA, but they’ve moved into a league of their own.
July 10, 2025 at 6:03 pm #286931Haha!…”A 30 year old career minor leaguer who bats right handed”…
July 10, 2025 at 6:09 pm #286932
jj-cf-stlParticipantYep, that was really good Mike
July 10, 2025 at 6:14 pm #286933
jj-cf-stlParticipantSo the FO took a rotation turn to think about their starters “situation”, then decides, we’re good? Or did I miss some news?
July 10, 2025 at 6:26 pm #286934Yeah, not only was it good, but it also speaks to the genuine reality…The Cardinals specialize in resurrecting Mannys…
July 10, 2025 at 7:00 pm #286936
jj-cf-stlParticipantProductive outs are handy
July 10, 2025 at 7:03 pm #286937And then Contreras misses on strike 3 by a foot and a half.
July 10, 2025 at 7:11 pm #286938
jj-cf-stlParticipant1 for 2 on productive outs = 1 run
July 10, 2025 at 7:20 pm #286939
jj-cf-stlParticipant80 mph, 94, 80, 94 is a nice approach and Saroka’s sweeper is getting chases
July 10, 2025 at 7:26 pm #286940
jj-cf-stlParticipant35 pitches, 26 strikes, after 3 for Miles
July 10, 2025 at 7:32 pm #286941Another base hit for Donovan in his second trip to the plate. He’s beginning to convince a few people that he can hit. If he keeps it up for too much longer, he may even convince Rat that he can handle a bat…Haha!
July 10, 2025 at 7:35 pm #286942And now Burleson with the RBI base hit to extend the lead. We all knew he could hit since Shady long ago proclaimed Alec the next Musial…
