I’m expecting the Braves TBA starting pitcher for todays game, to be a minors lefty, called up to make a bullpen start. It’s what the league does vs StL.

Missed an opportunity to gain a game on the Chicago National League club last night. The Crew are only a game behind and them, not us, are the real threat at this point. Today is an easy loss with Fedde making perhaps his final Cardinal start. I call this one 9-4, Atlanta.

I am getting that error message again. It says:

“Error – your reply cannot be created at this time.”

Would anyone else be happy with 5 innings and 4 runs allowed by Fedde? My the standards have lowered.

Turning this one off! Watching Fedde pitch is ridiculous! No chance of winning the games he throws!

This guy is extraordinarily bad. I go out to get the mail, take a quick look at a couple of items and by the time I sit down and look at up at the TV it’s 3-0. There’s no longer any earthly reason for handing him the baseball. He’s the SP’er version of Brett Cecil.

Well, Gorman pulls the team out of the fire, but they’ll run this guy back out there to once again set it ablaze in th 2nd.

And while I’m Mr. Grouchy, I think it’s high time they deep 6’ed that disgraceful Big Mac Land sign out in LF. All it represents is a confirmed fraudster who’s nothing more than a first rate embarrassment to the Cardinal heritage.

I may get my 5 innings and 4 runs for Fedde. 3 runs in 4 innings so far.

This bullpen lefty is making a lot of our guys look bad. Apparently they have 4 lefties in their pen. So far we are on number 2.

I’m a little surprised Matheny hasn’t latched on somewhere. The teams that he was handed in KC were horrendous but, over almost 7 seasons with the Cardinals he placed .555 up on the board. That’s real good. Of course, maybe he’s simply not interested in the work.

Big strikeout of Acuna by Graceffo. When Graceffo is on his A game, he has some filthy stuff.

After 5 innings, the bottom of the order (our bench players) Gorman, Pozo and Saggese are keeping us in the game vs both lefties.

JJ – Saggese in particular has had a couple really good swings. I noticed the same thing last time he started against a lefty.

And how about Graceffo? 3 strikeouts in 1 1/3 innings thus far including the huge one against Acuna.

Nice eye. The rbi single to RF by Saggese earlier was a textbook inside-out swing vs a lefty, Yadi like. If you watch the replay, its Winn of last season.

Matheny inherited a lot of talent from TLR. We steadily got worse the longer he stayed here.

Pozo is doing a fine job filling in for Herrera.

Also, IMO, Matheney was really bad at managing a bullpen. He cost us a lot of games that could have been won. I was glad to see him move on. Tremendous guy. I admire his character. I just didn’t like his tactical skills.

You are not the only one who thinks that way. Total fraud. Ethically an embarrassment. And not just the roid thing.
But let’s be happy Dom! Your boy Pozo is starting to grow on me.

Yeah, they handed him the keys to a Cadillac in ’12. He was none too swift at times, but the team stayed very competitive during the majority of his tenure. The current manager also inherited a lot of talent when Schildt was dispatched, and he vandalized it in a big hurry.

The catchers have seperated themselves. All 3 of them.
