With those releas3s does that give Chase Davis a chance at promotion after his rehab. Memphis has only 3 traditional outfielders. I like Medlinger, but he is a utility guy.

Nice list 25. I think Odle is near my top 20 though. I also have Rincon is my top 30. He may be the only relief prospect we have now that could help the big club. Not sure where to put Condon.

I thought someone mentioned maximum roster spaces. With these cuts, would that account for the possibility of adding the 23 players just drafted? I’m Assuming there are more cuts coming. Now that I think about it, some players won’t be activated until next year.

Well Savacool was a good soldier, and he got a very brief taste of AAA. I always rooted for Kooerniak. He beat the odds of an undrafted free agent. Rivas never developed as expected. I believe he was a top 30 prospect.

Wow, I am reading a scouts thoughts on our draft. He really likes it mentioning Randall, Ferraro, Williamson, Kennedy, Kuhns, Condon, and lightly pitched 11th rounder Haley. Maybe this better than I thought. Is there any possibility of changing Ritchie’s mind?
Also, Randall could be the be the quickest to the majors by riding that 98 mph fastball with decent to good command.

While we may not trade anyone before the deadline, we surely will move and upgrade some of our starting pitchers currently on our roster. Mathews is now ready in my mind, with Mautz getting close. Dobbins is also ready. Molina might be ready next year. May getting traded, or leaving as a free agent seems likely, so there’s one spot opened. Some pitchers like Liberatore, Pallante, and Leahy may not be back next year, or moved to the bullpen. They need to keep the pipeline flowing with promotions and trades.

I’m imagining Kuhns will follow the Franklin path and begin at Palm Beach, with a start at Peoria to end his year.

With Henderson and Clarke rehabbing this is getting the scenario I imagined at the beginning of the year. It seems when they are deemed ready, there will be a logjam in the minors rotations.

So far, so good for Leahy. Just like May he struggled early, then seemed to be more comfortable as a starter.

I wonder what the Memphis rotation will be now. You have 7 potential starters in Mathews, Zimmerman, Cijntje, Dobbins, Molina, Thompson, Mautz, and Hansen. I guess Thompson could be sent down, and/or Zimmerman moved to the bullpen.ir they possibly may continue a 6 man rotation. And does this mean another promotion from Peoria to Springfield.

Seems like a lot of potential relievers were drafted. But like Van Dyke last year, they may try and convert them to starters. Seemed like they picked pitchers with less innings.

Not sure what to make of this years draft. I was expecting more I think. Time will tell. 2 more things, 1) sign free agents. 2) sign draftees.

Very strange timing for this game. I didn’t get to see it.

Seems like a lot of reliever risk with pitchers we drafted.

I love the much anticipated debut of Clarke. Some scouts thought his blisters might have been the cause of his control trouble. Peoria will eventually a great addition to their rotation.

I love the Kuhn pick. He turned down 7 figure offers last season to go unselected. Condon I’m on the fence about. Prep position players seem like they don’t make it. Oh well, I hope I’m wrong.

My only request is that we don’t draft a catcher in the first round.

Here’s how we rank in ERA for our minor league teams:

Memphis is 6th out of 20 teams.
    Springfield 8th out of 10.
Peoria is 10th out of 12 teams.
    Palm Beach 7th out f 10.
    FCL 9th of 15.
    DSL 42 of 51.

I believe we have some injuries and young arms. But I believe we’ve got to prioritize pitching. If a position player falls we should take him obviously. And our relied pitching is really thin. I understand that we will have failed starters who could excel in the pen, but as of now with Gastelum added, and Rajcic injured our only option near the majors is Rincon.

This Feltman is an interesting signing. He has a good amount of strikeouts, butlast pitched minor league baseball in 2023. He pitched at AAA before getting cut. Will he be at Springfield or Memphis?

Who do the mock drafts have us taking? I would have us taking the best arm available, preferably Flukey, if available. Some mocks have him falling to us.

Was Shuster on the roster for a while? He’s coming and going so much it’s hard to keep track.

I’m guessing they knew they were going to add Zimmerman for this double heade. He js expendable like Shuster. And dont they have to are roster move by adding Zimmerman?

Really nice to have surplus of catchers Crooks, Bernal, Rodriguez, Campos, and now Rojas. I wonder how the excess will be handled. But at least there’s time to let them duke it out for position.

Is there a printable list of the top 100-200 draft prospects out there somewhere? Some are hard to print due to formatting, and/or print out too many pages.
