My wife walked in right after Baez hit #3, and I said “All the baseball I have watched or listened to and I just saw something that has never been done before.” Even she was impressed. Man, that is something else.

Now we need to finish this game off with a win and not let the Cubs back in it.

…then she saw the Jordan homer and said, “Looks like everyone is doing it. “ 😁

In the old days he’d get plunked next time up.

I heard them say he has 30 family members there. What a party Joshua threw for them!

That was the second time Herrera has been hit today. He didn’t seem to thrilled about it.

Oh my. What a debut. Never been done in the history of the game. Where can I get that Baez jersey. Let’s go.

Stanek seems determined to let the Cubs back in the game.

That Wetherholt-Winn combo really is good. They might be about as good as Herr-Smith.

I agree Mike. Despite Winn’s offensive woes I hope the Cards lock him up long term. That would be a dynamic duo up the middle for the next several years.

Oh zoot! I stepped away for a bit to tend to Madame CiF (unwell today) and missed all the gorgeous fireworks. Guess I have to catch it tomorrow on replay.

The way Wetherholt stands at the plate and holds the bat reminds me of Joc Pederson.

Surprised OB is in with a 4 run cushion, but maybe no one else available. If he can get this done quick he could still come back on the morrow.

Baez already in the groove with the post game jump shot.

That was fun to watch. Even better than the Pujols 3HR game at Wrigley in 2004 and I saw that one in person.

Somewhere I think I saw Baez needs to be held to under 130 PAs.

Bling, I’m confused. I thought Bernie said something different. But bear in mind that he is a .250 hitter and these big league pitchers will figure out how to pitch to him at some point…they usually do

I’m just waiting for the “what if we’d brought him up sooner” crowd to chime in.

People already worried Oli will sit him tomorrow.
