These Cubbies are now only 3 off the pace in the NLC, so I’d have to guess they’ll have serious business on their minds when they step onto the field at Wrigley this afternoon. And, over in the AL, it’s still a little early to draw any conclusions but, with less than 40 games to play, Alvarez looks like he’s positioned to make a genuine run at a TC.

I read that Baez will be on the field for the Cards today.

At least Prieto got the 1 hit to take back to Memphis with him.

As Gorman will attest to – AAA pitching isn’t even close to ML pitching. I wonder how much of Baez slash line will translate after 100 at bats?

If anybody thinks this Baez kid is going to be the big bat that this lineup needs they better think again.

    Can you say Adolis Garcia?
    Can you say Randy Arozarena?

Well im not a big fan of swing n miss guys no matter how many homers they hit. Back in the day when smart experienced baseball gurus made decisions vs analytic department heads,a lot of swing n miss guys never got to play in an mlb game. But times have changed i guess or maybe its the people.

It was just a measly 2 run dong. But it was long, 449 ft.

The hard part is getting there. The harder part is staying. I’m hoping he sticks in a big way.

Rotowire where I usually copy the lineup still has Fermin at 3B but obviously not. Jordan starting at 3B

Torres isn’t a swing and miss guy. Maybe we should play him in left.

That was the third ball I’ve seen roll under Blaze Jordan’s glove. I’m sure there have been more.

I’m forcing myself to withhold the nastiness things I want to say.

We’re spending 30M$ for Arenado to
    play for Arizona.

Bloom should be fined for allowing this to happen.
