Anybody with even minimal common sense, baseball-wise, should be able to ascertain that those three are fine hitting prospects.
Wow ! Rom and Thompson listed at 5 and 6 on the rotation depth chart. With Matz in the bullpen. I noticed than Rom is just a little over two years younger than Thompson.
Prieto’s hitting deserves special recognition. Is he hitting his way into the Cardinals picture? Nice to see these fine hitters, Prieto, Saggese and Scott, as future potential offensive contributors for the Cardinals.
Please try a little harder to not be confrontational and personal here. Other posters are entitled to their opinions regarding the Cardinals here without being harassed.
Rom certainly didn’t resemble Tudor last night. But I still see some nice potential in Rom. I prefer having Rom to Flaherty, right now. I guess we’ll see.
What do you like about Showalter? How does his style compare to Roby, Kloffenstein and Robbersee? Rom wasn’t as sharp yesterday as in his previous outing. He did induce quite a few ground balls that could have been at an infielder. That could come in handy as a relief pitcher.

As I said, both Scott and Saggese could use some seasoning at AAA. However, it’s very possible that they both could contribute to the Cardinals in ’24. Especially Scott, with his speed and defense in CF.
Rom doesn’t throw real hard. What I know is Rom was remarkably effective in his last outing. Somehow, some way.
Good points. In his last outing, the encouraging aspects were his control. And all the “swing and misses”. Hope he builds on it. Some pitchers improve with experience. Let’s hope that applies to Rom.
Burleson has shown occasional home run power to left and center. He just needs more of it, in general.
“Of all out young hitters Burleson is the one most likely to blossom into an MLB hitting star!” Wow, that’s a bold endorsement of Burly. And you’re right on. He has the hitting skills to be really good. If he gets regular ABs, I’m hoping he develops into a 20 HRs type, at least. He’ll get plenty of doubles. He just needs to launch more home runs.
One way or the other, it’s nice to see Burleson hitting like he has this spring. I’d like to see more power from him.
If Edman and Nootbaar aren’t ready to play opening day, how should the Cardinals utilize Burleson? It might depend if they decide to go with Scott in CF. I really like Burleson as the DH versus RHP.
I look for hints that a prospect/younger player could really help the Cardinals. I do sometimes rush my hopes. Sorry if I came on confrontational. I don’t want anymore of that, if possible. Especially, with respectful posters. If some of the antagonists try to mess with other posters here. It seems Brian will usually try to keep them in line.

Yes, it was outstanding. Totally unexpected. Rom looked like Tudor in his last outing. Like one of his starts last season against the Orioles. Would you rather he got “lit up”? If you have something better to do than read my posts. Do it!
Nothing about his past stats are overly impressive. MLB or minors. But in his last performance, he was better than anything I’ve seen in Flaherty in the last few years. And that’s who Rom was traded for.
Rom hasn’t been that impressive, overall. That’s why his recent performance was kind of surprising. By the way, I see savvy in Rom that I like as a competitor. Kind of like the savvy I sense Burleson has.
