TBA (Luke Weaver) vs. Zack Godley (3-4, 3.32) 6:15 p.m. FOX Sports Midwest
July 26, 2017 at 10:52 pm #28809With a win in this game, the Cardinals would reach .500 for the first time since June 2.
July 27, 2017 at 1:24 am #28819The Cubs are now in 1st place all alone after Milwaukee lost to the Nats 8-5. Big, BIG weekend series in Milwaukee this weekend as the Cubs head to Miller Park for three games. Then another BIG series as the Cardinals come in for three.

July 27, 2017 at 6:37 am #28821How good has Rosenthal been lately Rat?
Over the last month of games, he’s had a 1.93 ERA with 12.5 K/9 and just 3 walks.
July 27, 2017 at 6:59 am #28822When Rosey is good, he’s very good. Like any pitcher, it is all about commamd. If he’s right, he dominates.
July 27, 2017 at 7:10 am #28824Looks like a chance of severe weather in St. Louis. Wonder if tonight’s game will be postponed.
July 27, 2017 at 12:38 pm #28862After scoring seven runs in the 8th last night to beat the Brewers the Nationals now have a 12-1 lead in the 4th today. Cubs are going to fly past them, and more than likely so will the Pirates and Cardinals. Brewers will end up in 4th place.
And per Bike Mike’s post above, anybody know what the weather is like in St. Louis today?

July 27, 2017 at 1:42 pm #28872It started raining last night at about 3 AM. There was a gentle rain going on until about 10 AM. Its been overcast all day. Looks like some more clouds are rolling in which could mean more rain. I doubt that the game will be postponed unless its for only an hour or two.
July 27, 2017 at 4:26 pm #28885#STLCards vs. Arizona (7/27):
Carpenter 1B
Pham LF
DeJong SS
Grichuk RF
Bader CF
Wong 2B
Kelly C
Garcia 3B
Weaver P— St. Louis Cardinals (@Cardinals) July 27, 2017
July 27, 2017 at 5:15 pm #28889Cards now just one back of the Brewers in the loss column. Of course, smart money knew the team to beat would be the cubs, who are rolling since the AS break (10-2) and have made a significant move to improve an area of concern.
July 27, 2017 at 5:34 pm #28890Anyone else notice that 7 of the 9 Cards starters tonight have spent time in the minors this year?
July 27, 2017 at 5:59 pm #28891bccran
ParticipantNo, but 3 out of 4 of your up the middle players were minor leaguers several months ago.
July 27, 2017 at 6:09 pm #28892I wouldn’t count rehab assignments, which would make it just 6 I think…but if you’re going to count rehab assignments, then I think you could say 8 out of 9.
July 27, 2017 at 6:50 pm #28894We expect the game to start at 7:15 pm! #STLCards pic.twitter.com/MO87gB2i96

July 27, 2017 at 8:31 pm #28896We’re down 4-0 in the 4th after the Diamondbacks hit a grand slam…
July 27, 2017 at 9:13 pm #28897Weaver looked strong 1st time through lineup, then a leadoff double and a couple of walks and JD Martinez made him pay.
July 27, 2017 at 10:04 pm #28899This one didn’t line up to be a high probability chance for us. The one bad inning killed Weaver, but it looks like it wasn’t really going to matter tonight.
July 28, 2017 at 1:07 pm #28945To me, Weaver seems destined for the bullpen once Reyes returns next season.
Reyes just has a lot better stuff.
July 28, 2017 at 1:25 pm #28946As long as he comes back from surgery well…
July 28, 2017 at 1:33 pm #28948How often does any team get by without a sixth starter? Seems like at least one starter goes down every spring. Weaver will get his chance, I predict.
March 16, 2022 at 1:09 pm #180855Not sure what my din-din was for this game a few years ago. Anybody else remember what they had for din-din the day of this game? However, I am pretty sure I was at the Amish Restaurant the day before this game..:)

March 17, 2022 at 11:43 pm #180994The before was a Wednesday………..so yes indeed, Rat was enjoying some fine dining at his local Amish restaurant, The Gasthof. On this day, Rat indulged in baked ham with scalloped potatoes, meatloaf, green beans laced with onions, garlic bread, cole slaw, two pieces of cherry pie, a heaping bowl of chocolate ice cream with sprinkles and a tall glass of grape Neha.
