I’m looking forward to our suite being empty at Busch- more food and booze for us! By this time of the year we usually have people begging for opening day tix and asking when available dates are as well…this year nothing.

I’m also looking for 5 dollar all in bleacher seats from row- and actually having a good chance to shag a ball! Then obviously give it to a kid – not heartless 😂

That being said I’m wheels up at 5:35 at lambert to head down to Jupiter tonight.

Feels wonderful to have baseball back.

As stupid as HOF voting is I truly feel as though Edmonds would be in by now (or trending that way) if he had 400 hrs. Still think he gets in by committee.

Sorry to hear rat- after almost a few decades (wow) checking in on this board and hearing the dog referenced/ it sounds like she had a good long life. Trust your vet – but I agree with whoever said it above, if she’s in constant pain give her some drugs a steak and let her go in peace

Nice on the monitor – poor Michael young had he only been drafted by an east coast team…

I’ll probably get flames for this but if he gives us a home town discount why not give him a shot against lefties? Never going to happen but I hope he finds success somewhere.

I was honestly touched to read this thread. I went through a similar situation with a friend of a friend who was has ALS and it’s recently becoming more aggressive so his dream of hitting all the ballparks with his sons sadly needed to completed this summer.

God knows how much money my bank gives to the cardinals every year in overpriced suites/ads/green seats..but when I asked them for a clubhouse tour or something to better accommodate him the response was…nothing.

Good to see that when the big corporate wigs who don’t really care do nothing..the ppl can get together and do something.

    Re spending…

Dewitt has already fully played the villian- and made it clear that money = larger % money on field..this is a business etc

With CBA coming after next year I think we would be absolutely foolish to think anyone is going to be signed for a significant amount of money or time considering caps and floors are coming.

Speaking of Cade crossland…someone circle this square..he had a 6.32 era last year at OU in 13 starts?

Ignoring the fact that all players tend to decline in their 30’s, if Goldenado could play like they did in 2022 every year, they would produce 14.0 fWAR. In 2024, their total was 4.3 fWAR.

So, add 10 wins to the 2024 Cardinals and their record would have been 93-69, tied with the Brewers for first place. If any of those 10 extra wins had come from Milwaukee, St. Louis could have won the division outright.</em

I agree with Brian here but we would still be dealing with fools gold and a declining team as goldenado would eventually start deteriorating

Look at the arms in our club top 50- I don’t see anyone that has shown they promise that they can be relied upon to be even an upper level rotation starter. We have a serious player development and/or talent evaluation problem. Without new ownership enjoy at least a few years of cheap tickets. Merry Christmas everyone good to see some vets still posting-gray

Pugs- respectfully im tired of our FO and especially fans worried about who will be wearing a red jacket or in cooperstown. The goal should simply be winning.

Bccran- I appreciate anything you have to do for your family. But i work on 4th street. We don’t obey stop lights. This city is a mess. I travel to Kansas city for work- it is objectively a dream. Minneapolis- amazing- even cincy and memphis have their problems but i could go on and on.

There is a deep theory in stl that i will share here for those that dont live here.

The city is tanking in hopes of $$ from the county. The new theory is that the team tanks in hope of revenue from the county.

Im a moderate but this city is run by hardcore leftists who have no plan but to steal tax revenue from the county. It might work but I seriously doubt it. Let the arch be a relic of when common sense ruled but the next stadium will be built in the county.

Besides the hill and other neighborhoods in south city self governed by its neighbors there is nothing remotely positive about our city besides the Cardinals. If they fail- let the city fail. Just my opinion- and millions of others.

On a real world note- imagine the effects of a sustained tank from this ownership would potentially have on the city of st louis (already an absolute s@ithole).

People are kidding themselves with the “best fans in baseball” line. I have zero faith in our ownership.

Agree here re top 10 picks- the cardinals would have loved to have had johnathan india- anyone would- the fact that he even fell to where the reds got him is amazing to me.

Obviously mlb drafting is more of a crapshoot but you can’t convince me there aren’t certain higher probability prospects with higher floors that go top 10. Reds are benefitting- our model of trying to make the playoffs and roll the dice doesn’t help us draft wise.

Was sitting behind chip caray and (for an inning or so) brad thompson for this one. The guys a row ahead of me had the kzone up and the umpiring was really god awful.

Those same guy’s actually threw the rest of their beers on the crew as they were leaving the field. First time ive ever seem that at busch. This team and fans are just in disarray.

As someone who goes to 20/30 games a year for business and personal. I hate the shorter games- sorry. Absolutely hate. For business its harder to get a conversation in while watching the game, and even if going to pleasure good luck taking a leak and grabbing a beer and a brat- its takes 1.5 innings. Then you have to deal with traffic feeling like you just got there.

For TV watching sure- but overall i despise.🤙
