It -is- a pretty cool item. My wife was a K-Mart employee back when this came out, so the flip side has meaning for her.
I dont like to make threads and since we dont have a general discussion board i thought i would post this here cause i love old baseball history n stuff. In austin indiana this packing company is doing a fundraiser for two high school baseball teams. The packing company was one of those companies that had their own baseball teams back in the early 1900s and would hire major leaguers to play for it. So the high school teams are wearing replicas of the old morgan uniforms and they are going to have old photographs n such. Pretty cool from my perspective anyway.
As odd as this sounds Tommy Herr is still my all time favorite Cardinal. With all the hall of famers and hall of famers to be I’ve watched and all the great moments I’ve witnessed it still comes down to Tommy. He was a big part of some great baseball played in his time.
Sweet item indeed. It seems like Tommy is a favorite of so many here at The Cardinal Nation. My 4 favorites are Tommy Herr, George Hendrick, John Martin and Jack Clark.

As folks may have noticed, new subscribers and those who ordered Prospect Guides over the weekend also received contest entries. One of them, redbirdrob, is the winner of the drawing. However, since he did not express an interest in the seat cushion here, I am checking with him to ensure he wants it. If not, I will award it to another. Stay tuned.

With all due respect to RedBirdRob, I was kind of pulling for GoCardPA to take home the cushion. Congrats to our lucky winner. I can just picture RedBirdRob taking in the Cardinal games down in his man cave…..propped up in front of his 88′ tv on his new Tommy Herr cushion, all decked out in his Tommy Herr jersey with huge gobs of black-eye under both of his wire rimmed spectacle lens, with a bag of Cheetos in one hand and a tall glass of Wild Turkey in the other.
I was also at another notable Tommy Herr game – the one where he was removed and the trade to Minnesota in exchange for Tom Brunanski was announced.
