The bottom of the eighth described the whole series. Fell flat on our face. Now let’s add Donaldson and a mid tier bullpen arm or two and do it again
Yeah I know. I just threw him in there. Glad to see him excel with the circumstances. It just seems that the cards used to get the best out of players that couldn’t exceed elsewhere and that seems to have reversed
To clarify I didn’t mean disappointed in to see them excel in a personal way, but more in an organizational way. I’m glad for them all personally
And I know in all of those circumstances we didn’t have much of an option and it brought them to better places. It just seems like players used to thrive in St. Louis
Does anyone get disappointed that everyone we traded (hitter wise) is excelling on their new team? Pham, piscotty, voit and I don’t even want to think about anymore.
I was against replacing the home plate umpire with a computer but after the last two games these guys need to find a new job. Just let the k zone determine strikes and balls

And I leave this year with huge questions about the bullpen again. Which seemed solidified in August. Yet we don’t see Daniel poncedeleon and see the same people struggle every game. Just don’t appear to have many pen pieces to work with heading into next year and this front office has shown over and over they aren’t capable of building a pen
I think there are several ways to look at it. If we miss the playoffs and come out strong with a big year next year and it propels us into a successful run. I will always remember this season in a positive light. If we miss the playoffs and we come out flat again next year I will not have fond memories in the long term. If we somehow make the playoffs and make a run, I can’t help but have positive memories about this season
I’m scared to see how we get through this week with the pen. Especially since the Rockies get the Phillies and nats
