stlcard25ParticipantThere you go, Dejong! Nice ball down the line to put runners at 2nd and 3rd.
September 26, 2018 at 7:31 pm #70913That K was identical to the one last night:
–Garcia single
–Carpenter K
–Martinez double (but no score because K did not advance Garcia
–DeJong K (even a fly ball scores a run)Tonight, same sequence.

stlcard25ParticipantMarcell walks. Gyorko up with the bases loaded again.
September 26, 2018 at 7:32 pm #70915Bases loaded for Gyorko. Huh oh, that didn’t work so well last night. Gotta cash in this time, Jedd.
September 26, 2018 at 7:32 pm #70916Gyorko ties it with a sac fly.
September 26, 2018 at 7:33 pm #70918
stlcard25ParticipantSac fly Jedd for the tie game.
September 26, 2018 at 7:35 pm #70920Ozuna with the one out walk and the bases are now buldging to the brim with Birds! Gyorko up…..sac fly to left scores Carpenter with the tying run. That ball was not hit all that deep….a good Braun throw would have nailed Carp, but it was well off line and rather weak…..not all that unlike our left fielders lollipops to home.
September 26, 2018 at 7:38 pm #70921We just can’t get anyone up who can hit with runners on base. All that from one hit and a walk.
September 26, 2018 at 7:38 pm #70922Pugs, Braun’s toss was a poor man’s Ozuna throw.
September 26, 2018 at 7:43 pm #70923Shildt trying to do something to stop the Yelich Express. Bringing in Shreve might go down as “do something even if it’s wrong.”
September 26, 2018 at 7:44 pm #70924Good description, Euro! It’s truly amazing we are still in contention at this stage with the glaring defensive liabilities. I really don’t know how they did it??? I guess one super hot month of baseball out of 6 months is enough to accomplish that feat these days.
September 26, 2018 at 7:45 pm #70926So. We brought on a new pitcher to walk Yelich?
September 26, 2018 at 7:47 pm #70927I guess so Pugs. The real trick is to sneak into post season, then have your hot month in October.
September 26, 2018 at 7:47 pm #70928Does anyone get disappointed that everyone we traded (hitter wise) is excelling on their new team? Pham, piscotty, voit and I don’t even want to think about anymore.
September 26, 2018 at 7:48 pm #70929So. We brought on a new pitcher to walk Yelich?
Might be considered a marginal success.
September 26, 2018 at 7:48 pm #70930Hudson center stage….he can do it!
September 26, 2018 at 7:48 pm #70931
stlcard25ParticipantWell, up to Hudson. He gets Aguilar on the chopper to Yadi.
September 26, 2018 at 7:51 pm #70932Not Piscotty, GAC. I think most all fans are rooting for him these days. Voit seemed like a good dude too. Tommy P……..no real opinion either way on him.
September 26, 2018 at 7:52 pm #70934
stlcard25ParticipantThe walk comes back to bite again…2-1 Brewers.
September 26, 2018 at 7:53 pm #70936Yelich is two for three: walked three times, scored twice. Get the message???
September 26, 2018 at 7:54 pm #70937Yeah I know. I just threw him in there. Glad to see him excel with the circumstances. It just seems that the cards used to get the best out of players that couldn’t exceed elsewhere and that seems to have reversed
To clarify I didn’t mean disappointed in to see them excel in a personal way, but more in an organizational way. I’m glad for them all personally
And I know in all of those circumstances we didn’t have much of an option and it brought them to better places. It just seems like players used to thrive in St. Louis
September 26, 2018 at 7:54 pm #70938Danny Mac just said Shreve has been hit and miss. I missed the hit part.
September 26, 2018 at 7:56 pm #70940
stlcard25ParticipantUm, exactly why did we sub in Muñoz? Did they really desire to downgrade the defense?
September 26, 2018 at 7:56 pm #70941Muñoz makes errors like that’s his job.
September 26, 2018 at 7:57 pm #70942If Braun whacks one more homer in the series I’ll scream! He’s really a creepy cat. I would hate to spend 7-8 months a year with that dude. Now our defensive replacement at 3rd (Munoz) just boots an elementary grounder his way…..unreal.
