Can someone explain to me why in the Memphis game tonight, the winning pitcher was Murphy, who pitched innings 7 & 8 – but the Cards never trailed and were ahead 5-2 after the 1st inning? Shouldn’t the winning pitcher be whoever finished the 5th inning with the lead? Gastelum got the last out in the 5th, and Roycroft pitched the 6th inning before Murphy took over. I did not watch or listen to the game, but I found this very odd. Do the official scorers have the ability to give the Win to whoever they wish? Not trying to stir up anything, I honestly am looking for the answer.
Peete just can’t seem to stay healthy.
OF Tai Peete (A+) has been placed on the 7-day IL.
OF Cameron Nickens has been transferred from Palm Beach (A) to Peoria (A+).

Well, Torres is coming up, but Church is going on the IL!
The Cardinals are in fact recalling Bryan Torres to join the team in Cincinnati, a source with direct knowledge says. Nathan Church will be placed on the IL.
Carlos Baerga mentioned the call-up on Instagram last night, and then deleted it, but it’s back, so credit to him.

Here is a more update posting. I agree, something needs to be done with the International signings, whether it is a draft (most likely) or something else. Too many stories of shady deals and age discrepancies.

Lol! I guess they read this forum!
05/09/26 – Palm Beach Cardinals activated RHP Liam Best from the 7-day injured list.
Brian, did Liam Best get activated from the IL and I missed it? I didn’t notice he had been on it until I was looking at his player page and noticed he was listed as injured and found this:
