Is there a place where I can find International signings going back as far as 2015?

If you mean Cardinals signings, the TCN Prospect Guide has an entire section of nine pages devoted to international signings annually back to 2007. It includes team budgets, signing bonuses for the top players each year and what happened to them.

Is there a place to find out how much International money the Cards still have left this year?

The reason I asked the question above about what money is left was prompted by this post on Twitter (X). Wondered if the Cards would be interested in any of these available players?

Not that I know of. Only a few of the players’ bonuses are made public and I don’t know how much money the Cards sent to the Rangers. In the upcoming 2024 Prospect Guide, I will make my best estimate.

Regarding the new free agents you mention, if any team wants them, it would be easy to hold them off from officially signing until January 15 when the budgets are re-set for the new year. It is not like the players could play now, anyway…

Thanks for the answer, Brian. I guess I was hoping the Cards could use some leftover money from this year to sign a player before tapping into next years budget. By the way, are the Cards linked to any of the top International players? MLB doesn’t list the teams that prospects are linked to anymore like they used to.

Wondered if anyone has heard any info on International players that the Cards may be tied to this offseason? January 15 will be here soon, so I am sure they have several names already nailed down to sign. The only names I have heard about are Earle Rafael Zulueta and Christian Saez, both from Cuba. As far as I know, they may still have interest in Luis Manuel León, who was rumored to be signing with the Cardinals this past year but never did.

Saw this today in answer of my own question. Wonder if there are any other top 100 prospects we are “in” on?

BA is showing the Cardinals signed a RHP from Panama, Oliver Gonzalez.

Maybe the Cards are waiting to announce the Gonzalez signing until after the paperwork gets done. Only signing from Panama so far, so might not have a physical done yet. (just guessing)

Does anyone know if San Pedro, D.R. still produces an unusually large number of professional ball players?

Looking at the Cards DSL roster as an example, there are two players from San Pedro. But there are seven from Santo Domingo.

In the old days it seems like San Pedro produced just about as many as the much larger metro area.
