JJ should be there and questionable that Burly should be there.
July 4, 2026 at 5:05 pm in reply to: St. Louis 2026 Game #86 thread – Saturday, July 4 at Chicago Cubs #311880I have been watching the weather on and off due to my 250th participation in the blowing up of illegal fireworks this evening. I expect at least an hour delay if not more.
Dinner today is me being lazy and driving to portillos for the Char’dinera hot dog, 4pc tendies with small onion rings and an Arnold Palmer. I may purchase a strawberry shortcake to go.
I’m not concerned about Crooks yet. He really hasn’t had much time with Pages and Hererra also behind the dish.

July 2, 2026 at 9:31 pm in reply to: St. Louis 2026 Game #84 thread – Thursday, July 2 at Atlanta Braves #311696What an odd game.
Unfortunately our pen is pretty much blown for tomorrow. Soriano, O’Brien, Racjic. Maybe we get Stanek back but our lefty situation is bothersome headed into the weekend. You would assume Bruihl is burned for the weekend.

ChurchMartin Perez on the bump for hotlanta.
They need to lean on pitching.
With the lack of depth (or so it seems) .Pitching seems to be a need if some of these guys at the upper levels don’t work out.
I feel Flores and Bloom will make the best call and draft the best player available.
Not hard to top Gorman’s production and look like a starting option. The OBP is very low but that can be said of a lot of young power hitting rookies when the come up.
June 28, 2026 at 3:33 pm in reply to: St. Louis 2026 Game #81 thread – Sunday, June 28 vs. Miami Marlins #311327After starting the leadoff man 3-0. Potatoes O’Brien sets them all down and we win.
June 27, 2026 at 8:10 pm in reply to: St. Louis 2026 Game #80 thread – Saturday, June 27 vs. Miami Marlins #311227Another ho hum performance. Pallante was lucky to give up 4 runs. Offense sputtering.
Trade deadline sellers. Which is what they should be in a rebuilding year.

I just saw this article and they had 4 prospects that the writer said the Brass couldn’t ignore to bring up soon. #1 is someone I’ve never heard of. Can someone give me background on who he is? Lol
June 27, 2026 at 5:53 pm in reply to: St. Louis 2026 Game #80 thread – Saturday, June 27 vs. Miami Marlins #311217Lunch was a tad overseasoned Cheesesteak in Hannibal Mo. Had to get fireworks for the 4th and stopped in the place near downtown. Dinner who knows? House sitting and dog sitting. Whatever is in the Fridge or Freezer. Frozen Pizzas, Chopped Salad kits, Chicken Salad from Sam’s Club, Roast Beast and Ham for crushing Sandos. Plenty of Jim Beam. Limited on beer and Seltzers. Might have to make a run for those later. Lol
Mo can’t make them any worse.
No he can’t. He will have Arte to deal with. That will be an issue but maybe with his dealing with another old owner at the helm he knows how to twist and get what he wants. Idk if that is what his long term interest are but Orange County isn’t a bad place to see if you can make it happen.
June 26, 2026 at 10:19 pm in reply to: St. Louis 2026 Game #79 thread – Friday, June 26 vs. Miami Marlins #311169They have 3-4 guys they can got a used puck bag for. Maybe even some broken sticks and dentures.
This pitching staff and pen are so inconsistent. I know were rebuilding and this team the last month or so has resembled that.
June 26, 2026 at 10:03 pm in reply to: St. Louis 2026 Game #79 thread – Friday, June 26 vs. Miami Marlins #311166This team will be in sell mode come after the break.
The ESPN article states that he’s only going to stay on through the end of the year. However the Angels do not have a traditional POBO. They have instead Club President who oversees the day today business ect…Which just shocks me coming from the Angels front office (snickers) It’s possible Bowtie gets in Arte’s ear and snakes his way into that role. Let’s see if he gets one of his old pals from his days with us to take it.
I don’t see what difference they had really makes that much. Pretty much ownership speak. The Cardinals are likely sellers. I think depending on where we are makes it harder but they will deal.
June 25, 2026 at 12:07 pm in reply to: St. Louis 2026 Game #79 thread – Thu, June 25 vs. Arizona (PPD) #311005When your pitching staff is scuffling. Every game is a must win.
I mean were 15-18 since May 17th and that’s with a 6 game winning streak thrown in there. We’ve been treading water the last month or so. However the Braves are 17-16 in that stretch with a little more wiggle room.
Unless it’s Hunter Dobbins it won’t arrive. Lol
June 24, 2026 at 11:35 am in reply to: St. Louis 2026 Game #78 thread – Wednesday, June 24 vs. Arizona Diamondbacks #310892Unless they bring up Dobbins idk what you can do.
Also Lefty starter making mlb debut. Guy likely won’t go 5 innings.
June 23, 2026 at 10:04 pm in reply to: St. Louis 2026 Game #77 thread – Tuesday, June 23 vs. Arizona Diamondbacks #310850Remind me again why Crooks is playing? This guy is under 200! Send Crooks down and bring up Joshua Baez. Velazquez isn’t producing much either, another candidate to send down or trade.
Crooks has played 31 MLB games. He’s considered a top prospect. We carry 3 catchers for a reason.
Velasquez has an .897 ops in limited playing time. He is not good defensively but they appear ok with spot starting him in the OF and at DH.
June 21, 2026 at 4:24 pm in reply to: St. Louis 2026 Game #75 thread – Sunday, June 21 at Kansas City Royals #310572It’s a win. I think our club is tired of KC.
June 20, 2026 at 5:41 pm in reply to: St. Louis 2026 Game #74 thread – Friday, June 19 at Kansas City Royals #310495Been watching some of the world cup. Germany game was thrilling. My combo bets are still alive.
I believe Dakota Hudson was able to pitch against the underlying bad metrics for a season or so before injury and the league finally caught up to him. He’s pitching in indy ball currently. I don’t know what the future holds for Mr. McGreevy but Oli has pulled him a couple times when while not giving up many runs but giving up hard contact.
Just get a win tomorrow. We can put this sort of nightmare series behind us.
June 18, 2026 at 7:15 pm in reply to: St. Louis 2026 Game #73 thread – Thursday, June 18 at Kansas City Royals #310323Looking like the bullpen gets in early. Might be for the best.
June 18, 2026 at 6:46 pm in reply to: St. Louis 2026 Game #73 thread – Thursday, June 18 at Kansas City Royals #310315I’ll try and follow off and on but its going to be a late one. The guy I work with called in with a mysterious case of pink eye. So my dinner will be the Cajun bar at work with a chicken drumstick, side of fried okra with red beans and rice and a side ceasars salad. Washing it down with an ice cold slushy Alpine Blast Poppi.
Good start. Couldn’t be a worse one for Cameron. Make them pay!
