Any idea who our starter is yet?

And didn’t Warren pitch lights out in his last start?

Cubs got the sweep against the Dodgers today. I don’t like that. I was counting on LA knocking the Cubs down a peg or two.

Is today the worst lineup in Cardinals history? It has to at least be in the running.

Plenty of daytime action around the league today as the Cubbies outlast the Dodgers in a 7-6 final at Wrigley. The Dodgers have now suffered 6 consecutive L’s and are 2-8 in their last 10 games. Not even Skubal can help when the evil baseball gypsies decide to cast a malicious curse…Over in the AL, the Blue Jays top the Astros 5-4 in a 10 inning final at Houston to cool off an Astro team that is 12-3 in their last 15 games.

This is a very good Cardinal lineup.

Fermin and Church in the clean-up and 5 slot tells you all you need to know about life as we know it.

A line-up with Weatherholt and Burly is good.

There is a small cell of storms and rains in and around the greater metro New York area. I don’t think this delay is going to last very long.

Will be interesting to see how JJ handles short, if they play this one.

On the lineup, with that bunch I would have probably flipped Fermin and Herrera. Other than that not sure what else you can do. Church has been hitting well of late after a July swoon, so putting him 5 seems okay.

Cardinals fall victim to Mr. Rawlings during the visitor half of the 3rd.

And Weatherman doubles in two runs in the 5th.

    2-0 Redbirds at this point.

If they lose I believe they fall into a tie for last place with the Reds.

That horribly ill advised throwing E charged to Herrera made me think that it’s been almost 30 years since the Cardinals have been subjected to a the absence of a capable catcher. Pagnozzi, Matheny and HOF’er Yadier Molina really served to prove as the reality what the ‘Ol Perfessor always claimed about the absolute need for a catcher in order for a baseball team to be successful.

Nice of Stanek to clean his own mess up.

    Some insurance would be nice.

Not sure but from watching the highlights on MLB it looked like that the Yanker CF Grisham might have misplayed a couple of balls over his head that helped our cause.
