I mean – add him to the roster and subtract one of Fermin, Sagesse, or Church…
April 1, 2026 at 8:30 am in reply to: St. Louis 2026 Game #6 thread – Wednesday, April 1 vs. New York Mets #303745Peralta, a name that strikes fear in Cardinal fans minds.
Maybe he will implode on the mound tonight.
April 1, 2026 at 8:27 am in reply to: St. Louis 2026 Game #5 thread – Tuesday, March 31 vs. New York Mets #303744Hopefully we’ve seen the last of Winn batting clean up, Stanek closing, and Hererra’s hitting funk.
March 31, 2026 at 7:06 pm in reply to: St. Louis 2026 Game #5 thread – Tuesday, March 31 vs. New York Mets #303696I really don’t like Winn batting clean up.
I don’t understand the thinking.

Can pen get its collective act together?
March 31, 2026 at 8:12 am in reply to: St. Louis 2026 Game #4 thread – Monday, March 30 vs. New York Mets #303670As far as Leahy’s start – I don’t think 4 ER in 5 IP is good. That’s a 7.2 ERA?
If he gets 10-15 starts under his belt and his ERA is 4.5+ then hopefully they move him back into the bullpen.
March 29, 2026 at 7:48 pm in reply to: St. Louis 2026 Game #3 thread – Sunday, March 29 vs. Tampa Bay Rays #303612Rays got 41 hits in 3 games and we had six no hit innings from a starter…

Interested to see how the youngsters handle this series.
March 29, 2026 at 3:40 pm in reply to: St. Louis 2026 Game #3 thread – Sunday, March 29 vs. Tampa Bay Rays #303590Pitching staff by and large had a rough weekend.
Tampa knocked the cover off the ball and in game 1 got about 7 cheap hits.
May had about as bad a Cardinal debut as possible.
Walker got a couple of solid hits but gave a run back in the 8th with a poor route to the ball letting it drop in front of him.
Won the series against another suspect team – we’ll see what happens next.
March 28, 2026 at 4:14 pm in reply to: St. Louis 2026 Game #2 thread – Saturday, March 28 vs. Tampa Bay Rays #303482Romero has to close.
Svanson has been unlucky more than bad.
Stanek? He’s not been good for 4 years – why did Chaim think that’s going to change?
Walker may be taking slightly better at bats but – he just does not need to be in StL right now.
Gorman does actually look better.
Stanek undeservedly ended up with McGreevy’s win.
March 28, 2026 at 3:57 pm in reply to: St. Louis 2026 Game #2 thread – Saturday, March 28 vs. Tampa Bay Rays #303472Who the hell decided that Stanek is the closer? Look up his stats for the past 4 years.
He’s never been a closer and his era isn’t good.
This has turned into a slugfest.
Down 7-1 I would not have bet a plugged nickel on the Cards chances but here they are – hit it back to 7-6.

Walker with a ground rule double because the cf lost the ball in the sun, lol
Well I hope the offense wakes up but at 6-1 that is probably ball game …
Pretty rough day for Liberatore. 7-8 hits and a couple of walks in 5 innings. Lot of loud outs.
A very Mikolas like start.
Walker first pitch swinging again in his 2nd AB.
Another grounder to third.
He’s seen 2 pitches and is 0-2
Liberatore having a nice professional outing so far in the top of the third
Walker first pitch swinging beats a ball into the ground to the left side. Error bails him out.
My goodness Walker looked pretty rough on that fly into the corner. At least he caught it to end the top of the first …
I don’t understand gifting Walker RF. He didn’t even earn a roster spot (imo) much less a starting job.
I guess we’ll see how he’s doing in 4-6 weeks – maybe he’ll get it together and become the player we all hoped he’d be.
Winn batting 4th?
Looking at the lineup and trying to maximize ar bats for Herrera and Burleson plus looking at the rest of the lineup – outside of Gorman no one else qualifies…
Is there a box score for the game yesterday?
That looks more like Memphis’ roster than Springfield’s
I don’t wager, bet, or gamble much even when I’m in Las Vegas but I may just have to jump on taking the over on that 69.5 win total.
