Thanks Brian, forgot he started then, thought I saw he was going tonight.
Weaver with 10th K
Carpenter’s dinger bring $30K to flood relief
Wasn’t Leake suppose to start tonight? Glad it’s Weaver as he is dealing tonight
Would have just walked a run in
Doesn’t hurt as bad up 5-1 but more poor baserunning
And look so lost at the plate.
BW52 if you look above I said this entire team strikes out to much. It was 14 times today which means that is 14 times no one in the field has to do a damn thing. That said, when Grichuk came up against a guy with a good slider I knew what was coming. He can’t lay off the pitch low and outside. I hope this off season he and all the others on the roster that try to pull everything work on pitch recognition and start working on going the other way on the pitches that need to have that happen.
kinda knew what Piscotty was going to do.
Just assume Grichuk is a K anytime he comes up. This team strikes out far to often.
How many strikeouts do the cards have today?
Shocked Grichuk struck out.
Why is Pham not out there every day?
jager understand we don’t need complete games but we can’t have Leake and Wacha not getting at least to the 6th
Agree Logan but we lose guys every year, can’t seem to stay healthy. The guys on the mound have high pitch counts early in games most of the time (see Wacha’s last two starts) and the approaches at the plate can be head scratching far to often.
It seems we bring guys up and they set the world a fire for a couple years and then are just average at best.
Tonight just reminds me why I thought we should have been sellers at the deadline. The front office needs to sit down after the season and figure out what needs to be done because the coaching staff and what they are doing to put players on the field the last couple years isn’t working.
That said, outside of Martinez (Carlos) I am not sure there are to many players other teams would have parted with top prospect for. Yadi maybe but given his age most likely not.
And he can’t do it.
Cecil gives up two hits and is one pitch from getting out of it.
Piscotty hesitated between 2nd and 3th and was thrown out to end the inning. Not good.
Just bad bad baseball
Then Wacha proves once again he should not be in the rotation.
Maddening team to watch. No way they should have lost 2 out of 3 at home to lowly Padres.
This. Just not a playoff team at this point.
Nice bounce back win
Just a bad bad loss.
Two good things from last night, okay 3
1 We scored 11 runs – that number of runs should (we do have a couple factors that make it should not will) win every game.
2. We won
3. I know the kid that catch Dejong’s home run.
And Oh is Oh NO tonight
Rat I would have liked to see Rosenthal healthy tonight and see what happens.
Post game could be fun
Bullpen chokes another away
