Wonder what the ML record is for most pitches in a game???? Bet it’s over 200…..probably from some big horse out of the 70’s like a Bob Moose or Wade Blassingame.

Assuming you are referring to MLB, pitch count wasn’t a statistic that was commonly kept until the 80’s. The probable MLB record is Leon Cadore of the Brooklyn Dodgers who pitched every inning of a 26 inning game in 1920. It is estimated that he threw 360 pitches over course of the game.
It appears 58 is the fewest.
Waino will not get through 4 innings at this pace, 25 pitches and he is not out of the 1st. Finished the inning with 33 pitches and only 17 strikes in those 33.
Shock DeJong strikeouts out twice tonight. 13 of them so far. For the love of god fire Mabry and get a hitting coach on the staff.
In 18 innings against a sub .500 team, this Mabry led offense mustered up 1 run, 6 hits and 14 K’s

Rats, he already is an ace. The days of the Waino, ace goes 7-8 IP every start with a mid 2s ERA are over. Or at least reserved for the very very elite guys. Martinez has an ERA under 2 this year and has given us a great shot to win every one of his starts save for the first one. I’ll take it.

I just realized Dexter Fowler has a -0.9 bWAR. While I don’t believe WAR is the be-all and end-all of Stats/Analytics, I do believe its a very good gauge on players. Someone explain to me why Dexter Fowler remains in the line-up day-in and day-out.
I know there are all sorts of new fangle stats people believe in but we have to regulars hitting under .200 which at this point in the season should result in some pine time. Add to that there are 4 regulars with more strikeouts than hits at this point. Tell me again how we have been so bad at the plate the last several years and Mabry is still getting a paycheck.
Carpenter with yet another 0fer. What is the over/under and either he or Fowler hitting .220 before June 7th?
Also how does an organization not have a catching prospect that can hit their weight in the wings when the starter gets hurt or retires.

Okay just had a chance to look at box score and get caught up getting home from softball tonight. Carpenter with 2 more strikeouts and a bonehead play. The guy needs sent down. Just 4 hits against two guys with ERAs over 5. How did Mabry not get shown the door. The guy is a horrible coach.
