Waiting until the deadline is extremely risky on the Cards part for Donnie as well as Jojo and Obrien.

Injuries and declines happen…. Sell high while they can.

Evidently, somehow, the Red Sox want more innings which I don’t understand BUT, with money close to equal….

Bring the local guy back…. Pallante for Tanner Houck and (out for most of 2026) team control through 2027.

Disclaimer: My mom knew his grandpa and would love to go to a game to watch him.

    Harmony,
Arroyo and Cijinte and you get Donnie, Jojo AND Obrien back!

Deal? I backed off on Sloan, but Arroyo has to be in it.

When the Cards had 2 DSL teams, did they play in the same stadium?

Getting guys everyday playing time with two teams at what overall probably wouldn’t cost a lot more does seem logical unless I’m missing something?

Diamonds in the rough are easier to find if you have double the chance.

Nate, I disagree that by 28 they can’t win the division. They are adding Chess pieces and have basically zero money on the books.

Does Donnie need to be traded for LTV? Does Jojo need to be traded? Does Noot need to be traded after showing he is healthy? Does Obrien need to be traded at the deadline? Do they need to add at a minimum 1 RHHOF and 1 LHRP which can be trade chips?
    Every answer is 100% yes….

Dominguez and Lagrange…. Threw that out there? And it’s supposedly fair****

At this point, I don’t care what handedness a dude has, if he can actually hit, that is what matters, they can figure out the handedness and all that crap when they’re about to contend in 2028

858….. Excuse me, I asked for no reason?

Whitey has been on this forum for years and hopefully comes back for three more championships like Jordan did!

Unfortunately yes, the reason for these two not being top 100….

    6.7 BB/9 – Mathews
    6.4 BB/9 – Brandon Clarke

That’ll get ya not invited to the top 100 list.

STL, who would you compare him to? I thought the Clement kid was a reasonable comp? Or a faster Matt Carp? Either would be fine by me!

Agree with all of those as good options.

For those that have seen more of him than I, is Ernie Clement of the Blue Jays a decent comp for Ortiz?

On that trade value thing, which I don’t think of is close to accurate:

Donnie and Obrien are worth more than Dominguez and Carlos Lagrange.

    Do it Chaim!!!

He is their version of Jordan Walker. BUT they have an over abundance of good and highly compensated OFers, unlike the Cardinals.

Donnie and Jojo would be just fine if they throw in a decent prospect with Dominguez.
    Win-win trade for both sides.

    Yankees OF/DH spots
    Judge-$40m
    Bellinger-$42.5M
    Grisham -$22m
    Stanton-$29m

Correct me if my math is off, but their OF/DH spots are more than the $133.5M…. Over 30M more than the Cardinals even with their “payoffs”.

Jasson Dominguez and Jordan Walker as the corner OFers in Memphis in April 2026?

I’m with NY 100% regarding Walker starting in Memphis. Unless he crushes the ball in ST there is no need for it, plenty of FA reclamation projects out there that could be trade bait in July.

Both of Hayes and Andujar are surely in the budget along with a SP and LHRP.

The Cards definitely won the Helsley trade, even with just the arms. And after seeing what he did in NY and he wasn’t signing here long term.
Unfortunately, Im definitely not as high on Jesus Baez after reading/hearing about him the last few months.

Reminds me to much of Carlos Martinez.

May, Libby, McGreevy, Leahy, Fitts, Dobbins, Mathews and “big sigh” Pallante > Gray, Mikolas, Fedde, Libby, “big sigh” Pallante and McGreevy.

Also, Mautz and Henderson could get 8-12 starts if May is moved, injuries, etc

The ERA of the 2026 Cardinals will be lower that the 2025 starters. If I could bet a $2 bill on that I would.

JJ, they could sure use a 2B/3B/OF for 5M right? And a very good LHRP to put them over the top? Gotta pay to play though….

Pugs, Harmony and NY, (love you all and the banter fyi)

Edman, in his guest room, already had a king sized Sealy bed, 90” flat screen, unlimited Açaí bowls, mini fridge and a new Gwagon delivered for Donnie this afternoon.

Emil Morales and Rainiel will start in Caterpillar-ville and both come up together at the very end of 2027 and fight for ROY in 2028. It’ll be close….

River Ryan will be SP3 in 2026 and SP 1-2 in 2028.

Teoscar keeps the Cards over 70w in 26-27.

Noot loves SoCal and signs with Prellar in 28.

The “streaming services” or have to have this “service” to watch is taking over. However, from an organizational standpoint and ad revenue standpoint, and fan excitement and fan enticement AND future Cards fans with their Winn and Jj jerseys watching with their family….. wouldn’t it make more sense overall to have 1,000,000 viewers per game, and the ad revenue vs 100,000 folks?

I’m in favor of them starting their own and having prospect interviews, epic games of the past (David Freese game? Albert 3HR game?)

If you build it, they will come. Especially more butts in the seats vs 1.65 Million as in 2025!

Where would you guys put the new guy Luna?

Granted, zero experience/track record, but based on hype alone, right before Jesus Baez is where I’d rank him on the community list.

Haven’t read up on Carrion as much, BUT it’s -42 wind chill right now so, I will. Probably a top 50 easily?

There will likely would be other pieces involved, but this is a starting foundation.

Mariners: Arroyo or Sloan or Montes, fair starting point

Red Sox: Witherspoon or Tolle even though a bat is ideal, nothing lines up (Duran if he negotiates an extension?)

Dodgers: Morales AND River Ryan (with Jojo incl. is all I can come up with) Cards take back Teoscar and give them Noot?

Giants: I don’t see a simple trade here at all… Donnie, Noot, O’Brien and Jojo for Eldridge? Blockbuster of 2026!

Yankees: Spencer Jones, and Cards throw in Noot, Jojo and O’Brien? Christmas comes early for Cards fans!!

Guardians: Chase Delauter, easy one for one deal

Royals: They simply just match up worse than the Giants

Padres: No clue, but Preller has pulled off crazier deals.

Mystery team: Tampa? Detroit(who should be way more all in)? Baltimore? Phillies if Bohm is traded?

Good return for the Nats, they are likely in the same time frame to contend as the Cardinals and did the smart thing, cash in a chip that won’t be around when they contend.

Which is exactly why the Cardinals need to trade Donnie and Jojo now, and use the savings to buy lottery tickets that can be flipped 7/31/26!

I’m very surprised Bernal wasn’t in the top 100.
That’s great they ranked Baez that high though.
