Can Torres play CF? I think that’s why he couldn’t PH for Scott
We’ve been told Fermin can play CF. However I think that the reason Oli didn’t do is because techically were in striking distance score wise and he wants Victor’s defense. We have the top of the order up and maybe he wants to use Nelson for Gorman spot if we get to it. My guess is Nelly is left stranded on deck to end it. Lol

Speaking of announcers, do you guys prefer the TV guys or the radio guys? Both Ricky Horton and Brad Thompson can drive me crazy so each one has a guy I don’t like. Although my least favorite is Mark Sweeney. Caray I do like.
Sweeney is the best one of them all. He’s earned his stripes not only in baseball as a player but coming up through the broadcast ranks starting in SD and a studio guy and slowly moving into the booth.
Carey is ok. Thompson doesn’t annoy me that much and Ricky Horton I just want to throw darts at a board to his likeness. I do like Rooney.
FU Gorman! U suck at hitting.
They better have some to replace him next season. I don’t think I can watch another season of him pulling his head out when he swings and misses any longer.

Booyah – Since 2020, our pitchers have committed the 2nd fewest errors (48) behind only the Rays. I’m not sure about throwing errors specifically, but my guess is most errors on pitchers are throwing errors.
Maybe im magnifying it a bit more than I should. I still get nightmares about Carlos Martinez and Jordan Hicks ever throwing to any bag. Lol
Error cost us. We likely are in trouble due to the offense as 2 hits ain’t gonna cut it. Only way we win is if they throw Maton again and they likely won’t go back to him.
I guess you can call that a start from Leahy. We better win today because we’ll have almost no one avalable in the pen tomorrow.
We must have the most throwing errors by pitcher in MLB over the last decade.
Gorman has that raw power that is enticing, and he is a good glove on defense.
If you are talking about the play were Armstrong got 2nd that was his best bad option.
Everyone needs to pump the brakes on Velasquez. As I thought he’s not in the lineup tonight. We do like to crown em early around here. Lol

I don’t blame him for a new direction while the WFIB take a hiatus. Bringing in Chaim signals a new direction in payroll. We all know this. He has directed funds to other areas.

Trying to remember that this is a developmental year and so having equanimity. Hopefully they are working on Blaze Jordan’s D at 3B Gorman, Pages, and Scott seem like the three to upgrade for next year, with Jordan, Crooks, and Church the likely replacements. Baez likely replacing Noot as well.
It’s hard sometimes to recognize that we’re in rebuild mode. Team got to a peak and it seems that might be the high mark.
Winn and Gorman combined 4-49 last 7. JJ has fallen off a bit in May. Don’t know what you can do to get it going for these guys again.

Peete is an interesting player. Got some swing and miss but he looks the part. Just got to put it all together.
Well I’d say the great purge of the 2023 roster for prospects has been a flat out bust. We got John King and some salary relief.
Young team and a long way to go this season. Little injury flareups and fatigue will pop up. We’ve been a little fortunate on the DL side of things. It won’t last. There will be some stretches like this. Thankfully we don’t play the Brewers this weekend.
