Yeah, like Smoltz said the final frontier for a starter is going deep in games, and Kyle has not gotten there to this point.

On Gorman’s defense, overall he has been pretty good. On that specific play he should have gone to first. I think he was surprised PCA got there so fast. So not a good choice, but overall this season he has been pretty good on “D”. However not so good that his defense justifies a weak bat. You want offense out of your third baseman.

Fernandez is just as clumsy as Gorman. That’s the second throw I’ve seen this year for a needless error.

I guess you can call that a start from Leahy. We better win today because we’ll have almost no one avalable in the pen tomorrow.

We must have the most throwing errors by pitcher in MLB over the last decade.

Booyah – Since 2020, our pitchers have committed the 2nd fewest errors (48) behind only the Rays. I’m not sure about throwing errors specifically, but my guess is most errors on pitchers are throwing errors.

Where would this team be without Graceffo this season?

Maybe im magnifying it a bit more than I should. I still get nightmares about Carlos Martinez and Jordan Hicks ever throwing to any bag. Lol

Error cost us. We likely are in trouble due to the offense as 2 hits ain’t gonna cut it. Only way we win is if they throw Maton again and they likely won’t go back to him.

Interesting comment by the announcer that Wetherholt has yet to hit into a double play. Although I don’t think he comes up to bay with guys on base with Pages and Scott having been the guys hitting in front of him.

I was thinking the same Albert. He can’t hit into one leading off the game and the bottom of our lineup hasn’t really gotten on base much. But, we will still take it.

Nice job of killing the rally by Herrera. First and second, one out, and a 5-3 DP.

Who is the lead announcer this game? He sounds like too much of a Cubs fan

I guess the curse of the World Baseball Classic is a farce after all.

I believe the main announcer is Eric Collins. Graceffo passes the eye test. Bonafide Italian Stallion. 😉

One of these days Gorman is going to actually hit a changeup. Just not tonight. Maybe not this season. Sigh.

How low can Gormans OPS go? He’s free falling towards the 500s like VS II.

Speaking of announcers, do you guys prefer the TV guys or the radio guys? Both Ricky Horton and Brad Thompson can drive me crazy so each one has a guy I don’t like. Although my least favorite is Mark Sweeney. Caray I do like.

FU Gorman! U suck at hitting.

They better have some to replace him next season. I don’t think I can watch another season of him pulling his head out when he swings and misses any longer.

Gorman flopping I think is at least good info for the front office. Let’s them know they may need to try and trade for or sign a 3B as the farm doesn’t have a top prospect at 3B to play there next year.

Rooney and Horton on the radio are great. Love their playful banter. Carey seems fake and Thompson wears me out.

Sweeney is the best one of them all. He’s earned his stripes not only in baseball as a player but coming up through the broadcast ranks starting in SD and a studio guy and slowly moving into the booth.

Carey is ok. Thompson doesn’t annoy me that much and Ricky Horton I just want to throw darts at a board to his likeness. I do like Rooney.

I don’t know what it is about Sweeney but something about him I just don’t like hearing him. Thompson is too much of a kiss ass and Horton is too much of the if it isn’t played like 1980 then it is wrong type.

    I agree about Gorman.

Anybody else finally sick and tired of watching him strikeout all the time???

He is playing himself out of St. Louis. The sooner the better.

Oli waiving the flag. Pushard in for the remainder. We may get baord darling Velasquez for PH for Scott soon. 1 of 2 places he should be in this lineup. PH or DH.

Throughout his career, Gorman is average to great against every type of pitch except changeups and splitters. Not surprisingly he now gets thrown mostly changeups.

He’s batting .075 off changeups this season. He’s batting .519 off four seam fastballs. Which would you throw him?
