My sentiments exactly ZTR. Good admit though hes not as nervous as before about throwing game losing meatballs as before. Hes much more composed about it now!
.Interesting thought Oquendo for manager-wonder how he feels about that. I believe it was Philly that took off last year when they dumped their manager after a terrible start.
Been sneaking up on the tv watching our Cardinals this year. Awful start to the season. Bad pitching , stumbling bumbling defense and one inning of offense per game. Looks to me like more runs are being scored this year but not by us. Just watched us blow a 3 run lead. Nado just dingered so maybe some Mojo will start somewhere. Really starting to wonder about a few guys still playing this year. I think myself you have to at the least platoon with Contreras and some guys need to start playing. Or hit the highway.
bccran yes it doesn’t take long for MLB to figure out how to pitch to a rookie. Happens to most all of them. Seems like there’s always some guy coming up that’s gonna bust things wide open. Talk of sending Goldy or Nado packing are ridiculous. Cut off your nose to spite your face. Most of the stuff about past players now excelling is silly to me too. Those guys especially pitchers have to be developed. Given playing time. You might have brought em up but they were not completed yet. Knizner doesn’t really hit, DeJong should already be gone and the outfield should have hitters in it. Yepez seems destined for 1 half of DH. What about another bat? Waino is definitely on the way out which is gonna take another SP. Look how big bucks Scherzer got beat in the playoffs. So just buying stars isn’t a guarantee. Still need a real SS that hits for average. We’re pretty good for a young team not made of high dollar free agents but still have alot of holes.

Disappointing being we had home field advantage. Gonna need hitting catcher, consistent bat and starting pitcher next year. Glad we won the Central Championship this year but not as good as the big teams. Phillies really turned it around this year and pretty much out played us. I agree our team really. didn’t play well after clinching the title. May have been better to forget the rest program.Seemed to make things worse. Goldy really changed gears after the all star break. What was that all about. Glad to see the “into the sunset 3 horsemen thing over” but also glad they both got a good finish. New challenges next year. Never forget the joy of just playing the game.

Yeah it’s a pain Pugs to replace all those cards. First thing to do is close em all down. Got my accounts hacked couple years ago and the bank wouldn’t even tell me how it turned out. They refunded my money though-insuredOctober 8, 2022 at 9:26 pm in reply to: 2022 Wild Card Series Game 2 thread – Saturday, October 8 vs. Phillies #203909Not good another Philly on 3rd 1 out. We really need to challenge Philly every chance we get. Play this game like we own this stadium. Sometimes gotta put your game face on and get after it.
