Gameday had Iadisernia, followed by Saggese in the lineup. They’ve since changed it.

gscottar typed ~ By this time next week spring training will be forgotten. It is what you do in the big show that most people remember.

agreed, but I would’ve loved to have seen something resembling a pulse from Goldy after his regression last year from the 2022 MVP season. This is concerning, and I think fans have a reason to be concerned. Oli won’t move him out the 2 or 3 spot for LONG time.

Shady Typed ~ A clutch hit by Burleson in the ninth. A Saggase double ties it. Those two can really hit.

    Saggese got the last out.

Alex Iadisernia doubled in Nick Dunn for the tying run. Oli KNOWS that Burleson likes to get thrown out at HP this season.

Good hit by Burleson off the Nats middle reliever.

@Mudville, will Goldschmidt be moved to Starting Pitcher with that 4 year extension from the Giants?

    My Bold and Spicy predictions:

The Cards will go 80-80. After being eliminated from playoff contention in late September, they will not be required to play 2 make up games against the Cubs and Pirates, b/c the Pirates will win the division, and Cubs will be eliminated well before July.

Also, I’m looking at the stats line for Spring Training and I see Jose Fermin had a high average and he hits RH. It seems he would then compare favorably to…let me randomly pick someone here…Ryan Ludwick?

Would you say “Render unto Brendan?” That’s where Brendan and Cesar are different.

I wonder if the Cardinals should make Herrera a LF?

Strikeouts were/are never an issue, the issue is hitting or his lack thereof with RISP and Runners on base. Anemic has been his tendency …just like his 2nd AB.

    Stats back this up.

Burleson still can’t handle RISP properly against tough RHP pitching. Strikes out. Against weak pitching with no one on, he can hit doubles all day.

@Shady, that lineup looks good, all they need to do is sub in Carpenter and Contreras at 5 and 6 and that’s likely opening day lineup.

I wholeheartedly agree with sticking with topics, I was just following other leadership. And Shady was being extremely aggressive towards people and their opinions. “Taunting” as it was called line by line by other leadership.

Burleson hitting well is a good thing. I’m just afraid barring extreme attrition ahead of him in the pecking order, he won’t get the chance. A good hitting Matt Carpenter will eat into his chances. And Brendan Donovan will likely play a bit of LF, too.

Yes, you’ve repeated Horton’s praises repeatedly the last 1 1/2 Hours. No need to spam it after saying it once.

people don’t need to be Ricky Horton or any other pundit. This is a message board/forum, opinions are allowed. Temper the aggressiveness and taunting.

Matt Carpenter will eat into Alec Burleson’s PA at DH. He’s earned it. I am not Ricky Horton, nor did I stay at a Holiday Inn Express.

How do you quote someone’s excessive use of a word without using quotation marks? I see “Bold” is an option in my formatting, perhaps that’s allowed? I don’t see it in the rules, but I see it as a function.

I just realized I used quotes on the word BOLD. Bullying wasn’t an intention. Just merely trying to guess my way through the moving goal posts in rules.

Shady, it’s almost as if they shouldn’t have a “Create a New Post Tab”…. They should remove it, b/c they obviously don’t want new posts. (You do make repetitive new OP’s, so that is bothersome…but the elitism from “Oldies” is really disgusting.

I can’t believe I’m defending you here. I think they just like ridiculing new people, and taking extreme stances no matter what it is.

You need, crave attention, this board isn’t the one you’re looking for, they’ve clipped your wings more times than anyone should have. Still weird to defend you on anything, but it’s the fair assessment.

Find somewhere that will let you spam to your hearts content.

    Good day to you.

@BOCfan… probably using his time to celebrate the birth of his daughter? I never got an update, but he played Thursday for 3 AB’s, then went to hospital for the Birth of his child.

    I hope everything went well.

UConn, why the SuperHero landing on your entrance? You’re a MOD, you don’t need to tell people how precious your time is. You’re trolling by doing that. You don’t need show your importance with a Supreme Court Justice quote, you’re a Mod, that 3 letter word is all that matters or is of importance. Finally, Addressing an interaction on Taunting/confrontation, you led with your own taunting of a group of people. “Newbies”… is taunting and extremely confrontational.

I know I’m out of line here. I apologize for that.
