I like both Condon and Fajardo. They are both firmly in my Top 10.

we can’t ignore our first round pick anymore. Best hit tool of the entire draft. 4 tool prospect right now, with a good possibility he rounds into that power tool as he gets older.
9 is still a great spot for White Hoodie Kid.
@StlCard25 … I like Sandro a lot, and the last 3 seasons the same with LG. But with the depth in position players and starting pitching in our system, I don’t think I could ever put a reliever, no matter how dominant they are, above our Top 20. Maybe Sandro can land 18-20…maybe. I have him #21, and I thought I was being generous.
3 or 4 years ago…sure, he’d easily be Top 15. Just not the case now…at least me it isn’t.
@CC, he was pretty neat seeing Fajardo pitch to Rainiel this summer, and realizing they are both 19yo.
That is really something. That still sticks with me from the this past season.
@Nigel T, thanks for the encouraging phrases. Anyways, I saw Hjerpe throw a no-no 5 innings in AA a few years ago, then suffer more problems with the elbow in his next start. I saw his no hit debut this year vs. the Rockies for 4 IP, but then follow it up with an awful 1 IP showing vs. the White Sox fighting, which he often does : control.
Consistency, he doesn’t possess that…yet? Until he does, he’s bullpen piece, and I can’t see where or how we can rank a bullpen piece in the Top 10. It’s something I see fans do all the time when ranking prospects.

Hjerpe’s greatest accomplishment in 4 full seasons is not getting hurt from July-September in 2026. Let that sink in.
And he still hasn’t thrown a full season of innings as a pro. Penciling him into the 2027 rotation seems…awfully like Recency Bias.

@Bob Reed. Those two are a fantastic duo. Unfortunately I have them just outside my Top 10. I like Hernandez’s defense better than SDS’s. I think that was because of his surprising footwork at 3B, when he was forced to that position post draft. He was really good at 2B and SS, too.
It’s incredible to think about Peoria’s infield defense next season with Padilla, Hernandez and Dos Santos in the lineup…if they allow both to join Padilla in Peoria. I don’t think Henne and Kennedy did well enough at all to start ahead of them in Peoria.
Exciting to see all these young position players clogging up our rankings…very nice change.
And we haven’t even started talking about Luna, Estrella, and Rojas yet.
#7 Trevor Condon
Cardinals 1st round pick, 2026 draft, #13 overall. 60 Hit Tool, 70 Speed Tool, 55-60 Defense Tool. Only 18, and showed pretty well in his limited time in the FSL. 9 hits in 7 games, .321 BA, .923 OPS…that’s what he was advertised as pre draft, and he delivered…in a small sample size. His arm is very accurate, no matter the throw….to 3B, HP, 2B.
I had a chance to see him play in Cary, NC in July, 2025. I came away impressed by Condon, especially with the speed and in the field. That day I also got to see Taj Marchand, Gio Rojas, Kole Koeninger, Coleman Borthwick play. Loaded future HS class of 2026.
Condon is commonly comped with PCA, and some fans have added, “But you don’t want to punch him in the face”. If he grows into more power as he gets older, we’ll be blessed to have drafted him. CF of the future, something the MLB team needs, a CF that can hit and field at the same time.
White Hoodies will be a new trend in St. Louis. 😀
I like Hernandez and Dos Santos, too….but I still have Condon and Luna ahead of them. Even with a smaller sample size from both Luna and Condon, their results back up the profiles, to me it solidifies their standing. I have Condon in my Top 10…60 Hit, 70 speed, 55-60 Defense….those don’t grow on trees. Luna’s might be the closest thing we have to 5 Tool, he definitely has the loudest bat…incredible EV’s from Luna.
I have Hernandez and Dos Santos close to my Top 15. We’re so deep in prospects, they have to fall that way.
2 years ago, they’re probably Top 10.
Debated between 5 prospects on this one. And came down to an 18yo first round pick and a reliever turned starter.
I’ll go with the better Volunteer alum…
Tanner Franklin #5. He made the transition from reliever easier than most would’ve thought.
reliever risks, like his college teammate, but seemed ready for the part at Peoria, and then continued improving as the summer went on. Ending at Springfield with a terrific, poised performance on his biggest stage to date, the Texas League playoffs.
Franklin put up 11.4 K/9 and 3.8 BB/9 on the season, again, improving those rates from Peoria to Springfield.
@gscottar,I agree. And Baez should be an easier project on the defensive front than Walker was.
#3 is Leo Bernal. His poise at the plate and behind the behind the plate. Too valuable. Future All-star
Doyle could use a lot of that poise on the mound.
My #2 is Quinn Mathews. Reclaimed his spot in the Top 5.
Doyle isn’t mentally and emotionally mature enough to be a Top 5 prospect in a very deep organization.
Cijntje and/or Molina will be in the rotation by Midseason. It’s up to them to stick. I think Cijntje will stick before Molina will. But I like Molina’s chances as well.
1) Rainiel Rodriguez
for me, it gets tougher after #1. I’m not afraid to go off the beaten norm for 2nd and beyond.

So forgive me for not remembering the poster, but Augusto Calderon was brought up on one of these threads, and I wanted to agree and and add to said discussion.
He’s abysmal and old for his competition. He can’t get anyone out. And together with Randel Clemente they account for nearly 30.00 ERA in the Florida State League. Those ties need to be cut. I don’t see any upside with Calderon…. not entirely sure about Clemente, but he shouldn’t see another game in the FSL until a lengthy visit to the Complex/EST (is it still called “EST?”)
Those two took a 5 run lead and turned it into a 5 run deficit in the 7th and 8th inning last night. Adding to there legendary exploits of 2024 ~ there’s only a few, but nothing good.
let’s certainly hope help isn’t on the way, at least, in the past. Not sure the rotation needs any help at the moment. That would be needed in the lineup
What will it take to move Goldy off the 2 spot to something like 5 of 6? If Oli and Mo need the L R L R L cadence in their lineup, then Winn’s sporting a hot bat, he’s hit at the top of the lineup his entire career prior to the Majors. I think he should get a 4-6 game look at 2 or 1 in the lineup.

@Shady. I know I’m not a moderator. I was raising a grievance, and showed from the first rule in the Rules thread my said grievance. I entered into this thread and participated in good faith baseball discussion on topic, with facts provided, just like others have done and are doing. You pivoted towards insults and putting words into our mouths, then you called us out individually… in hopes to continue your thread.
I just wanted you to stop the attacks and stay on point.
