jj-cf-stlParticipantalrighty then! quick inning now miles, and get ya some more.
jj-cf-stlParticipantCha-Ching!
jj-cf-stlParticipanti’m enjoying the consistency of the batting order. I suppose gyorko being DL limits the juggling of starters.

jj-cf-stlParticipantI didn’t mind the weaver hook. 6 and-a-third, 97 pitches, BB, two lefties due up, MM goes to lyons.

jj-cf-stlParticipantif “struggling” means results…. BAbip can be pretty brutal in small samples like this.
not my batting order of choice, but no, on juggling the order.April 8, 2018 at 2:12 pm in reply to: 2018 Game #9 – vs. D-backs – Sun 4/8 – Lovullo-Molina altercation #47933

jj-cf-stlParticipantCardsRedSox4Ever, for me, Kolten is ignoring rule #1 of hitting…. get a good pitch to hit. Chasing fringe pitches and balls early in the count is winding up in too many pitchers counts where he has to become defensive.
jj-cf-stlParticipantwainwright needs the 8th reliever role, the one where MM pretends you are there to pitch, but instead just rides the pine.
jj-cf-stlParticipantthat’s right, my bad. I was hoping we had reclaimed last seasons lost pre-arb yr for a 2019 pre-arb yr.
good catch, his service time doesn’t stop.Holland better get ready quick, the DL is filling up w/arms fast.
jj-cf-stlParticipantreyes 1.055 service time, minus the 60day DL. yep, good deal.
jj-cf-stlParticipantHollands turbulence in 2017 and 4 BS. 2017 stl saved 43 of 61 (18 BS)
41 of 45 after missing a season? not bad at all. way to go Mo!
jj-cf-stlParticipantit had appeared mayers, who has an option remaining, had made the roster due to gregersons injury. that now has a different look to it.
jj-cf-stlParticipantand both could lose service time during the next 6 years, as brebbia appears to be going to. so assuming they lose no time for the next six years, today, is a stretch I won’t agree with.
service time manipulation is not a bad thing if it helps keep a good player a year longer before non-tendering. it’s not my paycheck.
jj-cf-stlParticipantbrebbia has 128 service days, add two full seasons and he’s sitting at a super2 cutoff date. just sayin’
jj-cf-stlParticipantafter 60 batters faced, a WHIP and FIP three times league avg, and 38 service days, i’ll gladly be called fickle, as long as i’m not in denial of Mayers numbers.
jj-cf-stlParticipantif it comes down to brebbia vs mayer for the last pen spot, brebbia earned it last season, mayers didn’t. mayers had opportunities last season too, when it counted, and didn’t cash in on them.
jj-cf-stlParticipantKelly as better than Molina is just hopeful thinking. Mo made the right call. If Yadi DL’s, then Kelly comes up, but until then Kelly needs to work on the bat.
Defensive catchers are not hard to sign. He’s good roster depth and it wouldn’t surprise me if that is his ceiling.
jj-cf-stlParticipantthanks
