Nice pick of Medlingher. Bottom half looks great. A lot of leg work got done.

Considering the current financials, JJ could give a shot in the arm to attendance. Maybe that’s on the table.

Peete just keeps making noise, good job.

Church just keeps coming at you like Donny does, contributing something regularly. If a lefty high in the lineup fits well, Church over JJ, while Nathan is getting results.

27, Pallante could have been non-tendered this offseason (John King). The FO could have walked away, but they CHOSE to keep him for his innings eater value in 2026.

Andre has had a cherry picked ST facing the Marlins. MLB is up next.

We may start 10 guys this season since 162 games is a long runway. First 5 SP’s at the front of the line was fairly predictable. How long they hold their role is up to them.

BB/K does the same for pitchers in these ST sample sizes. Who is competing in the zone and who isn’t.

Naughton, Libby and McG? Favorites this ST for good reason. Soriano and Roycroft can make a case.

BB/K better explains small samples by showing who is competing in the batters box and who isn’t, before BA’s BAbip has an influence.

None of Winn, JJ and “that guy” have a good BA. Check their BB/K’s.

Consider that Bill has 60mil total, invested in the 40man players attending his ST, with a deadline selloff as a real possibility.

“Someone isn’t going to make it”
That’s ok GS, we have many hopefuls to draw from.

Stanek may stink again. Roycroft folds like a day Lilly. Soriano is a waiver guy….. Bruihl just confuses me, lol. I’m willing to say “why” on Pushard…. Hence might have a good month. The arms w/options can wait while we weed thru those arms without options. Expected injuries on the way.

    Opportunities galore, soon! 😉

It’s 20 days total during the season Bling, even if its multiple assignments. (Cots)

If he’s your SP5, he’s making a start before day20. He’s back up. If he’s your SP6, 3 weeks down has used an option.

    That’s how I’m reading it.

20 days demoted to burn an option Bling, unless that has changed too.

If they return Pushard, Graceffo maybe, if he is ready.

    Re:: “It’s not as simple….”

It’s still about the TV money disparity. Until that changes, we are a feeder club that at least has its own stadium for home games. Maybe Bloom can do a good Billy Beane game plan.

I don’t doubt Bill “wants to win”, but it will be on his terms before he “re-invests” in the player budget. He’s already showing he’s on the sidelines, it just took multiple seasons to whittle it down.

The long play is provide player runways so we will know who to churn out, or sell off for prospects. Play em’ all, even “that guy”. Plenty of seasons of auditioning players ahead of us.

Our guys at the WBC need to be sent down when returned, to insure they are ready for game action. Get them back in the fold and give them a ST under our supervision, same as the boys who stayed in camp. It used to be less than 20days demoted didn’t burn an option.

Packy sent down so…. Aren’t Bruihl and Pushard the front runners for RP7 & RP8?

We can longer speak of him and management quit playing him. Maybe the world class facilities we spent the player budgets on can fix “that guy”.

Gorman, Church and Fermin w/2 hits each. Gorman w/another dinger. Peete keeps making noise. Now if we could just get Pallante to face the Marlins three of every four GS during the season.

    L Church CF
    R Herrera DH
    L Burly 1B
    R Velazquez RF
    L Gorman 3B
    R Pozo C
    L JJ 2B

I think these guys have had a good ST.

Bill has 4.5mil invested in Walker and just signed him up for more in 2026. He could have cut bait but didn’t. Bill doesn’t get the return he wants from Jordan if he’s in AAA.

I’m guessing Bill will have to initiate the idea of demoting Walker, or it’s business as usual. Jordan is already “burying himself”, so that reasoning won’t fly until Bill gives up on his investment.

Blooms too smart to step in that.

Walker isn’t blocking anyone GS, because the Rays scooped up Ryan Vilade this winter. Walkers competition is by design. Open runways.
