And they break through for a couple of runs!
3-2 after six innings now.
August 10, 2026 at 6:02 pm in reply to: St. Louis 2026 Game #119 thread – Monday, August 10 vs. Philadelphia Phillies #315810Weather wise all looks clear in the greater metropolitan St. Louis area around the time of first pitch.
However, there appears to be a small band of showers a little north of downtown St. Louis that could possibly impact the game later in the evening.
August 9, 2026 at 11:13 pm in reply to: St. Louis 2026 Game #119 thread – Monday, August 10 vs. Philadelphia Phillies #315755Looks like Schwarber might be getting hot again.
He jacked a couple of dongs on Sunday.
Don’t be needing that now.
And din-din today will be a couple of baked potatoes, some Allen’s Italian Green Beans, an ice cold slushy Mt. Dew, and a bowl of Turkey Hill Vanilla Bean ice cream.

August 8, 2026 at 12:45 pm in reply to: St. Louis 2026 Game #117 thread – Saturday, August 8 vs. Colorado Rockies #315616Taking a gander at the meteorological conditions for the St. Louis area today.
All appears clear throughout the midwest. There is a band of storms/rain about to hit the northwest side of Missouri in the next hour or so. Hard to tell if it might find it’s way down to the St. Louis area later today.
Din-din today is a Hungry Man’s Fried Chicken TV dinner. Along with a piece of Apple Pie and a bowl of Turkey Hill Vanilla Bean ice cream.
August 7, 2026 at 11:34 pm in reply to: St. Louis 2026 Game #116 thread – Friday, August 7 vs. Colorado Rockies #3155681td,
The only team that comes to mind that’s been similarly hot were the Tigers in 1984. Didn’t they start the season 35-5 or something like that?r/Esteemed Rat
August 7, 2026 at 8:07 pm in reply to: St. Louis 2026 Game #116 thread – Friday, August 7 vs. Colorado Rockies #315541Cards667,
Excellent! Glad I’m not the only one that had catfish fiddlers today. After all, it is a CCFF.For the uninformed that’s Cardinals Catfish Fiddlers Friday.
I wonder if Pugs also had some fiddlers today? I bet he had his cinammon pies though.
And bling, that’s still pretty close. Just do your best.
Oh, and the Cubs lead the Royals 4-1 at Kaufmann Stadium.
Plus Boston might win one today. They are up 11-1.
Minnesota jumped in front of the Brewers at County Stadium. 6-4 in the last of the 5th. But the Brewers have the bases loaded and nobody out.

Hate to say this but Bregman hit a two out two run homer in the 9th to tie the game 2-2 against Toronto. And then the Cubs won it 3-2 in 11 innings.
August 6, 2026 at 3:36 am in reply to: St. Louis 2026 Game #115 thread – Wednesday, August 5 at New York Yankees #315417Not sure but from watching the highlights on MLB it looked like that the Yanker CF Grisham might have misplayed a couple of balls over his head that helped our cause.
August 5, 2026 at 9:44 pm in reply to: St. Louis 2026 Game #115 thread – Wednesday, August 5 at New York Yankees #3153973-1 Redbirds in the last of the 7th.
August 5, 2026 at 8:34 pm in reply to: St. Louis 2026 Game #115 thread – Wednesday, August 5 at New York Yankees #315390And Weatherman doubles in two runs in the 5th.
2-0 Redbirds at this point.
If they lose I believe they fall into a tie for last place with the Reds.
August 5, 2026 at 6:39 pm in reply to: St. Louis 2026 Game #115 thread – Wednesday, August 5 at New York Yankees #315385There is a small cell of storms and rains in and around the greater metro New York area. I don’t think this delay is going to last very long.
August 5, 2026 at 11:21 am in reply to: St. Louis 2026 Game #115 thread – Wednesday, August 5 at New York Yankees #315374Any idea who our starter is yet?
And didn’t Warren pitch lights out in his last start?
August 4, 2026 at 9:16 pm in reply to: St. Louis 2026 Game #114 thread – Tuesday, August 4 at New York Yankees #315351Maybe the problem with Herrera is that he’s just not very good?
August 4, 2026 at 7:54 pm in reply to: St. Louis 2026 Game #114 thread – Tuesday, August 4 at New York Yankees #3153392-0 Yankers in the last of the 7th.
13 runs last night.
Nothing tonight.
Nothing.
And yes, I know Walker and Burleson are out of the lineup tonight.
August 3, 2026 at 9:05 pm in reply to: St. Louis 2026 Game #113 thread – Monday, August 3 at New York Yankees #315225And Church just slammers a 3-run dong.
9-7 Redbirds in the 8th now.
August 3, 2026 at 8:54 pm in reply to: St. Louis 2026 Game #113 thread – Monday, August 3 at New York Yankees #315217Yankers now have a 7-6 lead in the last of the 7th.
Boy, I can’t wait for all of those pitching prospects to turn into super-star relievers so our bullpen won’t blow any more games.
August 3, 2026 at 8:41 pm in reply to: St. Louis 2026 Game #113 thread – Monday, August 3 at New York Yankees #315212It’s a 6-5 game now in the last of the 7th.
This one is about to go into the Lost column after a 6-0 lead.
Where are all of those prospects we got a couple of years ago for Flaherty?
Are they big time stars yet?

In other words folks……what we got for May/Romero and Nootbaar was pretty much nothing.
More prospects – PROSPECTS – that will more than likely never really amount to anything. Most prospects don’t. Sometimes they turn out to be fair players but that’s about it. If they were projected to be outstanding big leaguers they would never have been traded in the first place.
Like I keep saying…….free agency is our only hope to be in contention in 27 or 28. And in the meantime we will wait for these prospects to develop. Good luck with that.
If it comes down between Burleson or Nootbaar I sure hope and pray it’s Nudie Bar that leaves and not Burleson.
Robbie Ray to the Padres.
Giants are really selling off.
Yep, the Doyers got Skubal.
I bet Liberatore was their 2nd choice if they didn’t get Skubal.
Still wondering about Luis Arraez.
I’ll say it again…….is Tommy John surgery looming for Skenes?
August 1, 2026 at 4:56 pm in reply to: St. Louis 2026 Game #111 thread – Saturday, August 1 at Toronto Blue Jays #314850That’s even worse.
I didn’t see the game but I assume our hitters were once again swinging like maniacs, trying to slug it out there instead of just trying to make contact when the situations called for it.
August 1, 2026 at 4:43 pm in reply to: St. Louis 2026 Game #111 thread – Saturday, August 1 at Toronto Blue Jays #314846I just got on here.
I see where we have only one run again.
Imagine that.
