Cards.TV // KMOX // WIJRRockies haven’t been to the playoffs since 2018, Cardinals haven’t been since 2022 but last won a playoff game in 2020 and a series in 2019.
The Cardinals have a solid plan in place – whether it works or not remains to be seen.
I don’t follow the Rockies at all but they seem to be a really poorly run and managed organization.
The Rockies have been poorly run for a decade, mimicking the Angels approach of assuming they are a contender and never doing a rebuild, but I think they are now trending in the right direction.
They finally went outside the organization to find someone to run the front office. Paul DePodesta used to work in the Dodgers front office and is now focused on building from the ground up. I suspect they will continue to get better but unfortunately for them they are in a very tough division. They do seem to have very good fan support though. Despite their w-l record they have always drawn well over the years.
Taking a gander at the meteorological conditions for the St. Louis area today.
All appears clear throughout the midwest. There is a band of storms/rain about to hit the northwest side of Missouri in the next hour or so. Hard to tell if it might find it’s way down to the St. Louis area later today.
Din-din today is a Hungry Man’s Fried Chicken TV dinner. Along with a piece of Apple Pie and a bowl of Turkey Hill Vanilla Bean ice cream.
I too think that both teams are trending well. The thing about baseball or maybe even all team sports, you cant predict how things go in the future based on past or present situations. For a ling time the dodgers couldnt win another world sseries, now everyone worries they are winning too many. I think the cardinals lineup can def improve but i think our pitching has a lot of promise though with injuries that can always be precarious.
When I decide I have enough $ and retire, I’m going to be like Willie and Bling and just know who is good. But for now, I have to rely on stats If I want to get any kind of idea. Anyway, Looks like the Rox score enough runs to be good. And I know that’s an important stat. Runs are always good. But they sure have a lousy record. So without really looking any further, I’m going to guess their pitching is bad and perhaps their offense is aided by playing half of their games in the altitude of Colorado. Sound right?

You would think the altitude would mostly affect long balls rather than grounders, but they have 67 homers at home and 63 on the road. Not much difference.
I’m sure JJ being anointed, loaded down with cash, and fitted for a bronze bust will ensure that he leads off no matter how long and hard he might slump. Yeah, I know it doesn’t matter as far as W-L right now, it might be good for his development and there isn’t really anybody else, but I hate the way money and hype skews baseball decisions.
Welk bling i wonder about the thought we have no other choice. If jj God forbid, went down with an injury, would we just cancel tbe rest of our season. Or would we suck it up and put someone else out there. And what if amazingly, we suddenly reeled off a 23 wins out of 25 games streak. Now wouldnt that just put a monkey in the wrench.
I can tell you what would happen willie. When jj got healthy and returned, whoever led off during the 23 out of 25 streak would get bumped out of the way.

Probably JJ. Like I said, there is no one else. We only have 3 guys hitting .250 or better. Walker, Burleson and Jordan.
