Oh my….remember it all too well, Brian. After Schwarber’s rookie campaign, it really looked like he was going to be a monster. Thank God .230-.250 is going to be his speed average wise. Some of our more recent Cardinal Nation additions may be wondering just who is this Nathan fellow that people speak of???? I guess if I had just one word to describe Nate it might be “colorful”. The man could at times be quite controversial. He was also extremely intelligent, as his verifiable 192 IQ could attest to. Nate…..wherever you are…..hopefully you have not gone to that big diamond in the sky….please come back home to roost…right here where you are loved!…well “loved” may be too strong a word….but certainly he was very very well liked.
As butt ugly dismal as we’ve looked, I think we win this one 6-3 going away. Bader really disappointed me with his 0-5 effort on Friday night….I don’t care if it was vs Lester….the guy strikes me as a gamer and gamers usually come up big in arch rival games. I highly doubt that Bader will come up flat again tonight. Matter of fact, I think a homer and a 2-bagger are highly probable out of our rookie outfielder. Flaherty most definitely will cool off the hot cubbie bats…..6-3 Birds your final.
