She sure can be at times, Willie. I think I mentioned this last week, that she’s in Hawaii. It’s pure par…..tay time around here with her gone for another week. You should see this joint…….dishes and pizza boxes laying around the kitchen, unmade bed, 2 empty Wild Turkey bottles and newspapers strewn about in the tv room. She’s a total neat freak…..nothing can be out of place. She would be totally aghast if she could see this place right now. I already have my daughter and her friend lined up to clean this place up a day prior to her return.
Funny you bring up Jimmy Ballgame, TD. The wifey recently was watching “Housewives of Orange County” reruns that were about 10 years old. Anyway Jimmy’s wife at the time was prominently featured and thus Jimmy had a fair amount of cameo appearances. I had my dear “Housewive of The Frozen Tundra” summon me to come watch anytime Jimmy was on.
Ozark Mountain Daredevils sounds better. Seriously, would you like to be walking around in public in a shirt with a sweet little birdie on it with the bold word “SPRINGBIRDS”?
Wish we had a great defensive center fielder who was at least an average hitter. Siani may have been one of the best I’ve seen, and that includes this Merrill fellow and PCA. Too bad he couldn’t hit a lick.
So far so good, TD & Mud. Two beautiful innings by the former Cardinal……pitch count at 31. As the game moves on, May seems to pitch better in tight ballgames. I’m thinking this game finishes 4-3…..flip a coin as to the victor.
We Redbird fans are well aware that Dustin May has the potential to spin a dandy. Even with the odds against it considering the circumstances, we may see May send Milwaukee on to the NLCS with his performance this evening.
Anybody know what the record is for most team errors in a post season game is? The Yanks have to be threatening it….and we’re only in the 5th.
New Tampa reliever Cam Boozer. You have to love that last name. I wonder if he inhabits the same family tree as that New York Jets RB from yesteryear, Emerson Boozer? You know if we can swing deals this off seadon for this Boozer fellow and Hunter Gaddis from the Indians, then our revamped bullpen would be looking pretty darn good with the likes of Gassy, Gaddis and Boozer.
What, no din-din reports for today?
We’re all still reeling from the Cindy Sweeney commercial to think about chow, Rat. But that din-din you have on tap for tomorrow at the Der Wienerswitzel sounds like a dandy.
This park sounds like Yankee Stadium South. There may be more Yankee fans in attendance……..if not then they definitely have bigger mouths than Tampa fans.
Mine too TD. They need to play that commercial more often. The stupid ones they play all the time…….go figure.
Boy that Just Sports commercial they just played featuring Sweeney (forgot her first name), is enough to knock your socks off.
After all of this, if Schlitler can hold them to just the 1 run after all of this drama through 2 innings, then you have to like the Yankees odds of winning this game.
I vividly recall fans negative takes on Yadi when he came up…..and for a couple years after that……mainly about this light stick at the time.
Boy another roof job out. They may need to start raising these dome roofs.
I really get a kick watching how demonstrative some of these umps can be. Especially in big games they almost get carried away when making the call for the home team that they know will bring thunderous applause. In a way it probably psychologically gives them quite a boost.
Beautiful post, Mud! I love Bernal at #2 too. He does have that look about him. And he put some pretty decent numbers up. I still have my doubts about Matthews…….but absolutely none regarding Bernal. Ladies and gentlemen, meet our catcher for the next decade, Leonardo Abdiel Bernal.
Watching this Indians-ChiSox game with Chicago hitting Cleveland with 3 6th inning tallies to seize a 4-2 advantage…..but I really like what this Indians reliever Hunter Gaddis brings to the table. I’m thinking we could swing a deal for him this winter. Gotta love the long hair and ZZ Top looking beard, coupled with his nasty stuff. Having both Gassy and Gaddis in our pen would be pretty darn Sweet…..with a capital “S”.
