Now Hicks is a player that generates a heck of a lot of excitement for we Cardinal fans. Hicks…..Bader….Flaherty…..add Machado……now you’re talking about building a formidable franchise again.
Once again, I would leave Gomber in to pitch the 8th. It looks like Hicks is going to pitch but the way Gomber pitched, I would give Hicks a rest.
Carp looks mighty distressed in the dugout after hitting that homer…thank God he didn’t whiff……he’d be looking for a noose.
Bader with any kind of evasive maneuver gets around that tag. But I suppose I can’t fault the aggression with two outs.
They speculated that Carpenter may have drank some of the Amonia water by mistake. Seeing some of his actions in the dugout, I think they are right.
