NJ315Participant
If the make the playoffs is because of the players, folks.
NJ315ParticipantYes winning %. Except this year in on the players.
NJ315ParticipantI will ask you one more time. Over and over you told the at the other forum that the only fact that proved Matheny was a good manager was his winning percentage anything else was just an opinion. I ask you does that apply also this season or only the prior 5? If the players pick it up and he make the playoffs does the credit goes to them like the get the blame now or does the glory belongs to Matheny?
NJ315ParticipantFowler back….Piscotty to Memphis
NJ315ParticipantExactly and even when LaRussa’s personality grated on me he did just that put the players in situations for them to succeed. Matheny’s logic is hard to understand. Seems “gut” feelings drive him.
NJ315ParticipantHomer Bailey just what this offense needed.
NJ315ParticipantBad news 45 pitches for Waino. Good news somehow he only allowed 3 runs.
NJ315ParticipantTake him out please, put him back on the DL.
NJ315ParticipantExcellent start by Waino…28 pitches so far no outs two on down 3 already. Where’s Luke Weaver when you need him?
NJ315ParticipantI thought it was the players. They won it.
NJ315ParticipantIf it is the players then is always the players, folks.
NJ315ParticipantOur clean up hitter is back!
NJ315ParticipantThat’s because it wasn’t you. Bccran asserted time after time at the prior forum that the indisputable fact of Matheny being a very good manager was his win and loss record percentage anything else was an opinion. But now is the players not Matheny responsible for the losing record so far, he is still a good manager.
NJ315ParticipantThen that applies to all managers. So nobody knows can question their decisions outside of the organization.
NJ315ParticipantBut players were doing fine then Matheny’s win and loss record proved he was a good manager. You can’t make this stuff up.
NJ315ParticipantYou used Matheny’s win and loss record as fact that he was a good manager many times before. Now this year’s record so far is not his fault. Can’t have it both ways.
NJ315ParticipantBecause the 5th spot belongs to the catcher. He is just keeping it warm for Yadi.
NJ315ParticipantBecause he has the most raw power on the team. Of course he k’s a lot but he has the best chance of hitting homers and that’s the perfect spot for that. Brian asked about the current roster. Of the current roster he is the only one that even comes close to a 4th hitter and that’s why this team is at best mediocre.
NJ315ParticipantPut Grichuk there and leave him there for the rest of the season.
NJ315ParticipantWeaver did very well.
NJ315ParticipantI am disappointed in my fellow Puerto Rican. I know players have a hard time when aging but he is acting like an aging diva. I guess they should trade Kelly. It is not fair to him to have worked so hard to become a good catcher to be asked now to play other positions because Molina can’t handle the truth. Set Kelly free they owe him that much.
NJ315ParticipantSend Kelly back to Memphis. Bring someone else to sit on the bench. Actually trade Kelly we don’t need him with Molina here for the next 3 years.
NJ315ParticipantBases loaded no outs, 1 run scored.
NJ315ParticipantNo Piscotty. Back to the DL?
NJ315ParticipantA bit soon to think of O’Neill in those terms. He is slugging .694 but his OBP .308. 1 walk 10k’s in 9 games. Give him time then we will know.
