I think the emergence of the young players Burly Donnie Winn and not young but not old either, Contreras is why we are better this year. If Edman comes back healthy we are on the way. Wetherholt cant get here fast enough for me. Im going to semi retire buy a travel trailor and go on road trips to watch the Cardinals when JJ lands.
If these rankings were a true accurate assessment of a team, there’s no way we are 4 games over 500. They aren’t completely inaccurate, but that W L thing is the only metric that counts for anything. So while I don’t completely discount them, I understand there’s a lot more to your won loss record than your teams bwar rankings. With all that said, if you are at the bottom of the bwar rankings in a particular area, you probably should take a look at that.
As much as i like Burleson I didnt expect his btv to be that high. Good for him. I guess the developement of his power game outweighs his lack of speed and defense.

I found this. It explains how they come up with the values. For instance, i probably have Noot over rated at this point because he has been injured and hasnt had time to build much war. I would say Donovan is definitely our highest value player right now. Burly continues to rise.
Im going to guess value based on BTV which im not paying for.

We know he can hit. If he stays healthy there will be a place. Thats the nice thing about drafting ss’s. They are athletic enough to play most positions. I wonder if they had any idea he would be available.
THe guy with two last names can’t hit a decent fastball but they keep throwing him that low inside breaking pitch which he murders. Golf swing.
