Mautz out, Rule 5 guy in.
September 2, 2026 at 9:46 pm #317899On a level I feel for Mautz, but that was horrible. I hope it is not a physical problem.
September 2, 2026 at 10:09 pm #317900Time to turn in, good luck.
September 2, 2026 at 11:11 pm #317901Leonardo burns Yamamoto with a towering 2 run tater to right……only down 1 measly run now here in the 7th……5-4.
September 2, 2026 at 11:13 pm #317902Bernal’s first big league home run!! We have such a great a bunch of great catching prospects.
September 2, 2026 at 11:24 pm #317903Stanek absolutely owns Ohtani! I never thought I’d see Ohtani look so lost at the dish……but that’s where he’s presently at…..lost in space. But watch out when he finally breaks out of it.
September 2, 2026 at 11:27 pm #317904As the Cardinals bat here in the 8th, this is the scenario that you prayed for coming into this game vs the likes of a Yamamoto……down only a run and Yamamoto sitting on the pines. Scott on for LA……
September 2, 2026 at 11:31 pm #317905Burly ties it with a sac fly to right scoring Baez who had opened the frame with a ringing double to left.
September 2, 2026 at 11:34 pm #317906I so wish Gassy had not pitched last night……we so needed him right here and right now in a situation such as this.
September 2, 2026 at 11:35 pm #317907Oh my…..it’s Gassy again……I fear he may not be his normal unhittable self tonight…..fingers crossed.
September 2, 2026 at 11:40 pm #317908Gassy whiffs the hot hitting Betts to open matters here in the 8th…..let’s stay with the action shall we?
On 3-2 Freddie Freeman walks on one just a titch inside…..almost anyone else not named Freddie Freeman may have succumbed to that Gassy offering.
Freeland bounces into a neat sweet 4-6-3 twin killing and Gassy does his job yet once again…..God love Gassy.
September 2, 2026 at 11:44 pm #317909Ouch! Bernal comes within a few feet of depositing another pitch into the right field cheap seats……that one would have had me jumping towards the heavens……1 out.
September 2, 2026 at 11:48 pm #317910Cards don’t dent the scoreboard in the 9th and who pitches the 9th??? O’Brien? I don’t think so. We anxiously await.
September 2, 2026 at 11:50 pm #317911It’s Bruihl….oh my.
September 2, 2026 at 11:51 pm #317912And The Ferminator with a dazzling defensive play at 2nd to keep Bruihl out of immediate trouble.
September 2, 2026 at 11:52 pm #317913Muncy with a 1 out ground rule double to left and now we’re in trouble.
September 2, 2026 at 11:56 pm #317914Phew!
September 2, 2026 at 11:57 pm #317915Bruihl whiffs Hernandez on a splendid change-up…….let’s stay with the action………………shall we?
Passed ball sends Muncy to 3rd.
Smith flies out to Church in deep right-center and our boys have earned extra playing time……let’s get em!
September 2, 2026 at 11:58 pm #317916Fancy meeting you at this hour, Cardinal in France.
September 3, 2026 at 12:07 am #317917The Ferminator is stationed at 2nd to begin this 10th inning……Stewart on for LA……and Church lines a base hit, but that puppy was hit with so much authority that The Ferminator will have to slap on the brakes at 3rd.
Saggese with an infield hit to 2nd base and the Birds seize a 6-5 advantage.
Baez drills a double down the 3rd base line and that’ll wipe the bases clean……8-5 and we own these guys. Two at bats for Baez tonight and two ringing doubles to left…..the guy can stroke it.
Herrera grounds out to 2nd with Baez advancing to 3rd.
Burly pops out to SS…….a sac fly would have been oh so sweet to tack on another tally.
Walker strikes out to retire the side…..it’s O’Brien time.
September 3, 2026 at 12:12 am #317918We got extremely lucky on that Ohtani AB. I thought Justin should’ve been out for one more batter.
September 3, 2026 at 12:15 am #317919Smith the runner at 2nd base for LA.
Ohtani strikes out for the fourth time on this lovely Wednesday evening and he’s mired in a dandy of a slump.
Tommy Boy grounds out to Saggese at SS and we’ll gladly trade an out for a run in this situation……8-6 Good Guys.
Betts lines out to Church in center and it’s a wrap……8-6 Cardinals your final and that’s 4 consecutive series that we’ve defeated these guys.
September 3, 2026 at 12:17 am #317920Wow! I’m up early this morning. Just in time to see Burley’s 8th inning sacfly to tie it. Way to whomp those Dodgers! And whatabout that Fermin!
September 3, 2026 at 2:17 am #317921Good to hear from you.
September 3, 2026 at 2:24 am #317922These redbirds might be better than .500. We shall she.
