They could still grab Ford here in the comp round
Witherspoon’s twin brother went 62nd to the Tigers….I saw them both pitch quite a bit, I really liked Kyson who went to Boston…didn’t really see Malachi as that good of a prospect but he has some tools may be a later developer
If I was him I would do that, they probably could get him to hit with more power
From what I read he doesn’t have a ss arm, and projects more to CF or corner OF, but he is an advanced hitter with good discipline
2 for 2 tonight…got lucky on that
Ryan Mitchell still available high school ss, unless I missed him going
Other than them both being lefthanded I don’t see much comparison to Zach Thompson, doesn’t mean he will pan out but his secondary pitch is not a sweeping curve like Thompson and he has more velocity with high whiff rate on his fastball
I like Doyle quite a bit, and the Cardinals definitely need him to work out for their future rotation, as the last couple of college lefty’s they took in the first don’t look like they are going to do much.
June 25, 2025 at 4:37 pm in reply to: St. Louis 2025 Game #81 thread – Wednesday, June 25 vs. Chicago Cubs #285679I think I would have whoever scouts Missouri for the Cardinals step into my office if I was the GM….Misioroski was pitching at Crowder College in Neosho in 2022
Cardinals took Brycen Mautz 3 picks before Misioroski in the 2nd round.
Though this may be on Flores, b/c I think that was the draft they took like 7 left handed pitchers b/c the organization was short on them.
Drafting for need can lead to some big errors sometimes

I thought the White Sox were bad last year but they run circles around the Rockies this year, Colorado easily could finish 70 games or more behind the Dodgers.

April 26, 2025 at 6:25 pm in reply to: St. Louis 2025 Game #27 thread – Saturday, April 26 vs. Milwaukee Brewers #280502If they win tomorrow a chance to go 8-8 in their last 16, against pretty good competition…Astros, Phils, Mets, Braves and Brew Crew
Considering they are just short of awful on the road that’s decent in those 16

April 20, 2025 at 5:13 pm in reply to: St. Louis 2025 Game #22 thread – Sunday, April 20 at New York Mets #279992I don’t like the way Marmol manages/plays younger players and have thought that since 2023, really think it was a bad decision to bring him back
