I suspect that Grichuk is in his last run as a potential starter in the OF now. I could easily see them making him the 4th OF or trading him to an OF-starved team (Royals?) this offseason.

As for Bader, he’s got a similar profile to Grichuk but the contact skills look a little better. I would be cool with giving him a shot before long, although with the return of Fowler and Pham’s play, I’m not sure where you put him (Piscotty hasn’t looked that good but I think he’ll perk up).

I like Carpenter-Pham in the first two spots. It sets the tone for the lineup as both guys have some on base skills and pop. Piscotty is sort of stuck at #3, although if he comes around he would be a great asset there with his (traditionally) strong RISP hitting.

Interesting. Are there any other guys that would be realistic options at that price tag??

Sheesh, time to pull Waino. Can’t let the Marlins back in the game.

Waino with a good start so far too…6 strikeouts and no runs through 3. Would be nice to have him be consistently decent.

Good start for the offense…4-0 after 1. Lots of hits off Locke…you’ve gotta figure the team can hit a lefty pretty well with this lineup.

This is a very winnable game…and one we need to get if we want a shot at .500 by the AS break.

I like it. Put your best arms in the position to help you win. I’m sure he’s gonna be the first guy in tonight if Waino struggles (hopefully he won’t).

As the song says…2 out of 3 ain’t bad.
    .

Cmart has faltered and given up two 2 run bombs to spoil the battle of the “aces.” Meanwhile, Scherzer has struck out 5 of the 6 batters he has faced.

Pretty sure that strike 3 call was a ball and Yadi convinced the ump it was a strike. I’ll take it. Man, Rosenthal is nerve wracking.

Wacha with his best start of the season.

Still, Mejia is the star of the game so far with both RBIs. Rosie in for the 9th.

A nice mix of arms going tonight. It’s like the all-underrated team with Pearce, Woodford and O’Reilly all pitching.

Delvin Perez is really off to a slow start at Johnson City. Hopefully he’ll kick it into gear at the plate soon.

Also, will we be able to edit our profiles so that our real names don’t show up on our posts? Would really strongly prefer that to not be the case.

    Hi Brian… interesting new site.

A quick question…is there going to be a mobile friendly version or an update to the current format to make it a little more usable for mobile formats? I do most of my forum posting on phone or tablet and I can’t see avatars, and the formatting is pretty funky.

    Thanks!
