Can’t we all just be friends??????…….Bernie being excluded as a possible friend of course.
Casadilla getting roughed up in the great State of Wisconsin this evening 4-0 as they move along to the 4th. Oh Henry! He’s done it again! For the second consecutive game, Rattler catcher Payton Henry has led off the 2nd inning with a round tripper with no mates aboard. Wonder what it is about these 2nd innings that inspires young Payton to do such grandiose things??? Most likely his girlfriend has some sort of curfew imposed on her by dad and has to be home before dark. Now that’s a clutch hitter if I ever saw one!
La Gigantes go el downo todayo by el scoro of ocho – quatro.
Ouch! Do not like today’s matchups. Oh what I’d give for just a split (5-5) on today’s farm slate. I’ve always been bullish when Chris “The Pelican” Ellis grabs the rosin bag though. Hope I’m wrong, but have to call it 4-6 today.
Another stellar outing from Alexander “The Great” Fagalde vs Wisconsin’s upstart Timber Rattler squad last night. In 7 innings of labor, Alex stymied Wisconsin on just 2 hits, 1 run, with 5 K’s and one lone free pass. The only significant blemish a leadoff 2nd inning solo Jack well up into the rafters in left off the bat of catcher Payton Henry. 2-1 Chiefs your happy final, as 2,621 fans witnessed the event at Fox Cities Stadium in a somewhat snappy 2 hours and 44 minutes.
We came up short, but you have to tip your cap to the real star of this game…….C.B. Buckner for calling one whale of a ballgame! 3-2 Giants your unhappy final from beautiful San Francisco.
And Carpenter digs a throw out of the dirt to end the Giant 8th….and there’s another play that Jose doesn’t handle. If my calculations are correct, if Jose would have been at 1st tonight instead of Carpenter, we’d be losing 7-4 instead of 3-2 ( Jose would have drilled a 2 run dinger ).
Wasn’t Sandoval the guy who killed us in the NLCS years ago? Big Poppy too….if I knew where those two lived I would have egged and tp’d their cribs at least a few times over the years for what they did to us.
We only have one more shot at these guys. Would be a crying shame to lose this one. 3-2 Giants heading to the bottom of the 8th.
I hear you, Booyah. I worked at this fancy smancy resort in Lake Geneva for my father one summer when I was 18….as a security officer. I sure as heck didn’t secure much other than a phone number or two from other young female hotel employees. I had access to the rooms of course since I was in such a position of authority….not proud of this, but I bet I spent a good 5 hours of each shift in an unoccupied room watching tv.
Now we’re looking up at the Giants as NcCutchen drives in Pence with a base rap….3-2 Giants and they’re looking for more.
It’s always nice to be looking down instead of up at Mr. Mendoza….congrats to Wong!
Sweet place to work, Booyah! I bet you sure have some stories.
I thought that earlier comment about Wong might be just the karma he needed….Wong triples in DeJong from 1st and we have ourselves a tie ballgame!
What kind of job do you toil away at, Booyah?
I’ll keep quiet for awhile and let others chime in.
Wong looks like a player and certainly fields like one….but oh Nellie is that stick of his butt ugly! It just has to be Schrock time pretty darn soon….I just know he’s going to do well at this level….oh oh! Sandoval just puts one 1 row up into the cheap seats in left and the Giants have seized a 2-1 advantage.
How about the cubbies coming up again on the short end of the stick vs Cincy today. I think that’s 5 straight for the Redlegs vs the cubs. Before this season is all said and done, the Reds may end up costing the cubs a playoff berth. I never thought I would say this but…God love Cincinnati and their beloved Reds!
Anyone else onboard besides the esteemed Booyah and our resident weatherman, RatsBuddy?
Gant needs to start pounding the zone like he did vs Cleveland if he has any notion whatsoever of thriving much longer in this one….and there it is! Whiffs Belt on a dandy to retire the Giants here in the 5th. Still deadlocked at a run as we mossy on along to the 6th.
Defense does rule! Bader holds Posey to just one base instead of two with his speed and hustle….and what a dangerously good combination that is….speed & hustle. Many ballplayers possess one….but few can claim both..
…Bader is certainly one who can.Going back quickly to Rat with his new cb…..hair slicked back….cool breeze in his face as he races down I-80 in his cardinal red F150…..one arm drapped around some pretty little filly sitting next to him….foot long stoggie jetting straight out from his chapped lips….Redbird game barring on the radio…
.chatting with his new cb to the trucker cruising along right next to him…..does it get any better than that???
So far CB has called a pretty fair game. Hey Rat…..thumbs up good buddy on that cb for the Ratmobile! Now Rodriguez rams a double to left putting runners at 2nd and 3rd with 2 outs. And Gant really has not fooled any Giant carrying a bat this inning. Thank God their pitcher is now at the dish….and on cue he grounds out to short to end the inning.
Nice play by Carp at 1st…..yet another play that Jose doesn’t make.
Terrific play???? Ozuna did not have to hit the turf on that fly ball he just nabbed at the foul line in left.
