Carpenter, Pham, Martinez, Ozuna, DeJong, Fowler, Wong, Pena, C Martinez.
DeJong moves up to five. Molina not starting. Wonder about his arm. Fowler re-appears.

10-4 on that 8-4 score there, Pugs good buddy. Roger that. All we need now is a suicide jockey to bomb one out over the pig pen in RF to get us going.

July 7, 2018 at 3:55 pm #59483Why is the place so dead?
Redbirds lead 1-0 in the 3rd on a high chopper over Pablo’s head by Carlos Martinez.
Then Pham fouls a ball into the dirt and it bounces up and hits him in the Molina territory.
10-4 good buddies.

Good to see Martinez has his control back
July 7, 2018 at 4:57 pm #59487Martinez loses his shutout in the sixth, but Cards still lead, 3-1.
July 7, 2018 at 5:37 pm #59492Hicks gave up half the cushion, allowing one in the eighth. Cards lead 3-2 heading into the ninth. One has to hope that Norris’ finger is really ok. No room for error unless the Cards can score again.

stlcard25ParticipantI don’t like the razor thin margin but hopefully Norris can close it down in the 9th here

July 7, 2018 at 6:11 pm #59497St. Louis wins 3-2 to improve the season record to 46-42. The Brewers are losing so if that continues, the Cardinals will be back to 6 1/2 behind.
The Cards can win their first consecutive series in two months with a Sunday victory – and if they beat Bumgarner, it will be deserved.
July 7, 2018 at 6:38 pm #59503Solid win and Carlos is rounding back into form. He did well today.
