Yeah it would’ve been hard to get a guy that can man a spot in the 8th in August.

I get that getting something of meaning is tough but it can be done.

Because Greg Garcia isn’t a run producer. He’s likes to work counts and walk a lot. When a pitch isn’t to his liking he tenses up and doesn’t swing at it.

We couldn’t win forever. Just stinks that we had to lose today and head to Boston. The level of comp IMO gets a bit higher.

I think carrying an extra bat would hurt this team more than help. Especially with Oh and Cecil doing what they do.

They really need an 8th inning type of guy.

    Pendleton was there.

I didn’t see clark announced on the 1 minute MLB TV clip. Was he?

You forget that Lance Johnson was a Cardinals but he’s more known as a White Sox. Where he lead the league in triples 4 times on the South Side. His best season was as a Met

Clark’s homer was 1985. He was MIA in 87 and his absence is likely the reason we lost the series to the Twins.

I think if they were going to make a splash they missed a chance to do so.

You think they’d consider a bullpen rental though. Oh in the 8th and can’t get lefties out is scary.

Yeah that was a big hit and Pham had an extra gear right there.

    Let’s close this out baby!

Cecil gives up 2 hits and K’s Gordon and the move is made to Oh with Butera and likely lefty Brandon Moss as a PH unless a DP happens.

Wong boots a hard liner and we only get 1 out.

Lynn with a liner off his dome. 105 mph and he shakes it off like it’s nothing.

Ah that’s the Cardinal team I recognize.

Error by Wong followed by the bonehead throw by Molina to 2nd and now a hit by Gordon. Bases Loaded and no one out.

    Try MLB Network

Lynn looks awful! This is the Lynn that will throw 100 pitches through 5 innings. The one that this team doesn’t want to pay for.

Would the Cardinals risk tainting the AAA teams chances of a PCL and AAA title? I wouldn’t!

Honestly the call ups might be Piscotty, Seigrist, Sierra, Diaz and that’s about it.

I would like to see Montgomery at some point.

Being from Springfield originally I can tell you there’s more interest in the Cubs out and about than the Cardinals for sure. Cardinal fans aren’t happy with the product and it makes it worse that the Cubs won the series and their bandwagon fans wont STFU! Cubs fans memories are short.

I’d love to make them sweat a bit and right now on social media they know it’s a real possibility they miss the playoffs and us making it over them would be egg in the face to that so called dynasty they think they’ve got.

Let’s finish these guys off and really put some heat on the Brewers and Cubs. Cubs have D’backs in the desert and the Brewers have 1 game left and a 3 game homestand against the reds.

I’m glad he’s found a bit of consistency. I hope it continues because we need him to perform at this level to make any serious push for the division. Still think they baby him too much and he’s an injury risk.

He had most of the season in the big leagues to adapt his approach and he didn’t. Now he see’s the light after Paul Dejong has taken his position over with force. Now that out of desperation. Like Grichuk he’s playing he way out of Memphis but is he playing because he’s changes his ways or out of fear?

Diaz will see this roster in September. He may very well play a bit but you don’t mess with a good thing and Dejong for all his free swinging ways along with Pham is saving this team from being a complete disaster. I’d like to see those 2 in the lineup the rest of the way.

It was freezing up early then I switched to my phone and it did the same thing. Went back to the tablet and it started looping. IT’s doing it for the Milwaukee game.

Anyway good win for the team. It would be great to get a win tomorrow and get a lil run going to put pressure on them to make a move. Right now just get the W on Tuesday. One game at a time.
