August 8, 2017 at 6:56 pm #30077Good win last night, and Wacha is pitching well lately. Situational hitting improving in the recent small sample size, but still encouraging. Would like to see the start of good run to put the Cubs on notice. Advantage Cards tonight.
August 8, 2017 at 7:56 pm #30080This Vargas guy looks like he’s throwing BP. Easier said than done, I know, but he sure looks hittable to me.

August 8, 2017 at 8:34 pm #30084Bottom of the 4th they hit a 3 run double before then top of the 5th Grichuk hit a solo shot so it’s now 2-3…

August 8, 2017 at 9:11 pm #30089Top of the 6th, 7-3 us after Gyorko hit a 3 run HR a few batters after Molina’s hit…
August 8, 2017 at 9:36 pm #30093Bottom of the 7th now and we’re up 10-3 after a few run scoring singles…guess I’m the only one here for now…
August 8, 2017 at 9:54 pm #30095The main reason the Royals got three runs in the 4th was because the 1st base umpire ruled a check swing a ball on a 3-2 pitch with two outs. Molina started to walk off. The next batter then doubles in three runs. Had the ump made the right call – which I believe he went and would have been strike three – the Royals wouldn’t have scored that inning.
August 8, 2017 at 10:03 pm #30097It appears the pitching matchups in this home and home favored us except tonight.
August 8, 2017 at 10:30 pm #30098wagee12ParticipantLOL, Wacha was on his game tonight. I am sure most everyone here will join me in saying that we are delighted that a certain poster here didn’t get his way in suggesting that Wacha be traded. As a matter of fact, we probably saw the top of the rotation pitcher for the Cardinals work tonight. He hit 98 on the radar gun several times and obviously has a better demeanor and composure than ole Carlos. Last score I saw, Chubbs were down 3-0 vs. the Giants.
August 8, 2017 at 11:04 pm #30103I’m glad he’s found a bit of consistency. I hope it continues because we need him to perform at this level to make any serious push for the division. Still think they baby him too much and he’s an injury risk.
