Jhon Torres hasn’t played in almost a week at JC. Came out of
a game on the 21st. His status shows as active. Wondering if
anyone has heard anything.Alex Reyes left the Memphis game with an injury….didn’t look good.
Any news on Justin Williams? He’s been out for almost a month now.
Still haven’t seen anything regarding his injury.Looking at Reyes rehab from last May….23 innings no runs, 7 BB and 44 K’s.
A year later – taking a similar path his numbers aren’t very good. Of course
this rehab is from a different injury. I’m hoping it’s just rust. I watched
the game today – velocity was good but he was behind in the count often.
Seems unlikely he’ll be called up soon after today’s performance. Hopefully
Gomber is close to returning.Any idea what the injury is to Justin Williams?
With Thomas getting called up I’m wondering if Garcia’s stock is dropping some. He didn’t
hit in his brief trial late last year nor in Spring Training this year and hasn’t
had a great start to the regular season at Memphis.April 2, 2019 at 5:53 pm in reply to: Former Cardinals in the News – 2017 to Aug. 2024 (closed) #85585I thought Jody Davis had a familiar ring….he was in the Cards minor league system for a year before the Cubs took him in the Rule 5 draft in Dec of 1980.
Albert played 11 seasons with the Cards resulting in 74 post-season games.
He’s now been with the Angels for 7 seasons and has played in 3 post-season
games – all losses. I’m sure that’s not what he or the Angels expected.
Anxious to see his return to St. Louis next year…can’t imagine how long
that standing O will last! Getting chills just thinking about it!While it wasn’t a trade – selling Jose Cruz to the Astros for $10K
should be mentioned. He played 13 seasons for the Astros and
ended up with over 2000 hits and 300+ stolen bases.I wonder about Conner Greene. His control issues haven’t improved since
joining the Cards organization, including his AFL performance thus far.
Will he keep his spot on the 40 man?September 18, 2018 at 4:40 pm in reply to: Former Cardinals in the News – 2017 to Aug. 2024 (closed) #69770Nice to see Rob Kaminsky back on the mound after missing the bulk of the last two seasons.
The Indians are sending him to the AFL. Looks like he’s been pitching out of the bullpen
at AA. Best of luck to him!Hudson at #2. Pitcher of the Year two years running. I expect him to
be in the rotation for years to come!June 30, 2018 at 10:25 am in reply to: Former Cardinals in the News – 2017 to Aug. 2024 (closed) #58569Allen Cordoba is playing again after being out for concussion
related issues after a car accident. Off to a slow start with
20 K’s in his first 43 AB’s at High A ball. Best of luck to
him!Thanks Brian!
