Has anyone heard anything about how Chris Duncan is doing? Last I heard was when he took medical leave a couple months ago.

Here are two links on Chris Duncan:

Chris Duncan steps away from radio gig at 101ESPN for cancer battle

I haven’t heard anything about him lately. Its something that nobody wants to talk about. For now, we just wait, and pray.

Greatchuk hit two homers yesterday. However he is hitting an anemic .196 and has struck out 33 times in 112 plate appearances.

Matt Adams is putting together a pretty decent year as a full time 1B – .275/.351/.575 with 13 HR in 57 games…

Brian is slipping! Unless it was in the game thread. Which I can’t look at because I’m watching the game on delay. Former 2nd round pick Robert Stock has been promoted to San Diego’s roster.

Grichuk was awful to start the year and then went on the DL. He returned from the DL June 1 and had 2 rough games but since June 3 he is hitting .299/.356/.687 with 5 2B, 7 HR, in 73 PA. His K% had been much lower since then too. He has 2 more hits today, and 2 K, hitting leadoff. He also made a game saving catch to rob Springer of a game tying HR in the 9th a few nights ago.

Allen Cordoba is playing again after being out for concussion
related issues after a car accident. Off to a slow start with
20 K’s in his first 43 AB’s at High A ball. Best of luck to
    him!

That was the worst scenario for Cordoba (and Perdomo for the most part) to be plucked out of rookie ball/ A ball to the bigs. I wonder how different their development would have been? Perdomo might be a good reliever someday though he could have used more time in the minors to work on secondary pitches.
